The house was perfect with great proximity to Mt Rainier. The loft was the perfect place for the kids, they LOVED their space.Communication was great throughout the stay and everything was as listed. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the surrounding area!
This was a perfect place to stay for our weekend getaway to check out the Packwood Flea Market. Beautiful neighborhood and walking distance to the market. The family of elk that live in the neighborhood were beautiful. The house was pristine and very homey and the hosts were very kind and communicative. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend!
Great location for skiing at white pass with the family. Our kids loved the bunk room and games. Great communication with the host. We look forward to coming back!
Perfect location to access white pass ski area and downtown Packwood. House was clean and updated. Great layout and sleeping arrangements with 2 bathrooms.
The cabin was quiet and lovely with easy access to Packwood. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. I do think the cleaning crew needs to be a little more thorough with cleaning the rugs and the outer bedding (comforters andcshams).
The house and neighborhood was very nice, quaint and relaxing. It was a nice walk to the town. Elk were peacefully walking around. The mountain views were gorgeous. It was a perfect getaway to enjoy nature.
The owners were fantastic and easy to communicate with before and during our stay.communicate
Enjoyed our stay in Packwood so we could hike at Mt Rainier and the Tatoosh mountains. The house was wonderful! We were able to walk into town to coffee or dinner or just grab something from the grocery store. Sitting on the front porch watching the elk come through the neighborhood was fun in the morning and evening.
We loved this house. It was perfect for 2 families together. The house was new and well maintained. Kitchen and bedrooms had everything we needed. We enjoyed the games and puzzle as well. Location is very near everything in Packwood. Host was very responsive and helpful. Would stay here again!
Our trip to Washington included visiting Mt Rainier. This cozy cabin fit our needs for our family of seven. The cabin appears to be newer and it is very clean. The owners were quick to respond with any questions we had. We would recommend this cabin to our friends and family.
This was a beautiful little neighborhood just minutes from Packwood and a quick drive to Mt. Rainer. This home was lovely and the loft room was perfrct for kids. The elk even wandered in the backyard as we had a campfire. Very clean and easy check in/out process. Communication from hosts was fantastic! Would definitely recommend and appreciate them sharing their beautiful home!
We were greeted by the elk upon our arrival. We love nature and the outdoors so that just set the stage for our getaway. The house was newer and very clean. Nestled away in the northwest corner of Packwood, it was a great place to enjoy fellowship while only being a short drive to the White Pass for skiing.
Perfect location for half day trips to Mt. Rainier and its surroundings
Booked this property for its proximity to Mt. Rainier. We were interested in visiting Paradise, Sunrise, and Tipsoo Lake. This is a very beautiful new house in a quiet gated community, not far from grocery store. It has a nice layout, a fireplace (which we ended up not using because of a gorgeous Oct weekend), with spacious bedrooms and very comfortable mattresses. The kitchen is well equipped; and outside there's a large grill and a fire pit. Although we're just one family this time, I think it can easily fit 2, maybe 3 families (depending on their size). Will definitely come back in the future.
Property was as described. Convenient to White Pass. No fan in the 1st floor bathroom made it steamy. Entry keypad never worked for us. However, the owner was quick to communicate and allow us access remotely. Left it unlocked most of the trip. Was only left 2 kitchen garbage bags for 8 people over 4 days. Wish we had know that in advance.
We were in the area for a couple of days of hiking. We’re from out of state and had spent several days in Seattle before going to Packwood. Elkhorn Cabin was so refreshing after being in Seattle! And all the “little things” were amazing - laundry detergent so we could wash more warm-weather clothes (we expected it to be cooler near the mountain!); microwave popcorn to snack on; Apples to Apples and wii for family game time; television that we could stream from/project to for watching a movie. Spacious bathrooms, comfy beds, all the elk roaming the neighborhood… it was lovely. (Sorry we forgot to sign the guestbook!)
The house was excellent! We stayed two families, each with two teenagers and we had enough space. The house is perfectly maintained, it was super clean, had anything we could think of in the kitchen, in the bathroom. All the appliances were great and any question we had we got an answer right then. The house is located in a gated community, has a beautiful backyard with a fire pit and comfy chairs. We all had excellent time. The drive to the park is great too, it took us about 50 minutes to get to the Paradise visitor center which is great. There is a river very close to the house. I totally recommend it! Would definitely come back
We sat on the porch watching the elk walk by, they seemed so close you could pet them. Obviously, that's not safe so don't do it. It was so amazing to see so close. The group of them munching and laying around chilling out with young ones in tow. We went there for a memorial service so it was an emotional trip but everything worked out better than we hoped, especially with the elk. The house had room for the 9 of us staying at this location, comfortably. Everything was clean and new. The kitchen had everything we needed. It was a peaceful stay even with all ranges of age for the kids. I would love to go back again when we could do more and stay in the same home....some day :-)
This house was beautiful, very clean and kitchen had everything you'd need. We needed a quick getaway before Christmas and this was perfect, we would definitely rent again! Location was close to everything. Host was absolutely fantastic and very helpful!Kim B.
