"The smell is terrible in the rooms. It is an inescapable, pungent, odor that made me happy to check out of the room. The door hinge was rusted and broken. The towels are like sandpaper. While this hotel is well rated for cleanliness, the floor was covered in debris and what appeared to be toenail clippings. I am baffled at how this hotel receives good reviews. "

"There was initial disagreement over how many rooms we had booked that would have been resolved quickly if a representative of the hotel were on premises. Host, who could be reached only by phone, insisted that AC worked in the hotel, when it did not. Once resolved, the AC stopped sometime in middle of night. "We slept in Viaga do Castelo during our Camino the Santiago. Hotel is nice, rooms are extremely spacious and the bathroom is too. The rooms and the bathroom are well equipped.
