Used to be better?

As with most hotels, they start out amazing then taper off from that. The Mecure Padang is starting to show its age however still asking the premium price point, up against much newer/better hotels around the same price. Still one of the nicer hotels around.

Nice place to stay. I was only there for a night before it transferred to a ferry to the Mentawai Islands. Very secure. Not that there's much crime around there though.

First at all I have to admit that I have choosen this place because the brand Mercure should garanty some standart. I have prooven wrong. Beside the unexperianced staff the quality of the place is not reflecting my experiance in other Mercure hotels. The room was really nice/clean. The rest wasn't. One of the most irritating details was the poor breakfast.
