Could easily be a lot better

Stay here lot’s mainly due to location! It’s a pretty old hotel and the rooms need a renovating! Not enough non smoking rooms so it not alway possible to book a room. Breakfast could be a lot better! Need more variety of fruit, better coffee, better bread and real butter would be a good start

What touched me the most was the kindness and enthusiasm of Padang people. Of course, including the hotel staff, especially Azail,I have more interaction with him, I will only recognize it here!

Ox Ville è sicuramente un hotel conveniente per la prossimità al porto, specialmente per che vuole andare alle mentawai Purtroppo avevano solo una stanza da fumatori. Inoltre durante la notte c’era molto rumore in giro per l’hotel.

Had a lovely stay at Ox ville. The kids really enjoyed the pool and very good wifi connection. Everything is clean and in good repair. The staff are very friendly and professional. Beautiful compact property layout and building design. Close to good dining options and many of the attractions in Padang. Highly recommended.

The picture of the hotel is photoshopped. It doesn't look this nice and the little cinnamon coffee is a little bit to more to the right. Not cool Ox Ville, you can't photoshop the front of your hotel like that, it is misleading. The food was barely ok and there were a lot of mosquitos in the open dining area. Internet was really slow. Other than that it was ok.

The best hotel in Padang! Well run by great staff. Comfortable and clean. Well designed. Close to China Town and Padang harbour. I highly recommend Ox Ville if you're visiting Padang.

Another great stay at Ox Ville. This hotel is still easily the best hotel (and best value hotel) in Padang. I've stayed in many others and none is as comfortable and well run. The hotel grounds themselves are very pleasant. The two buildings are well designed around a central swimming pool with a great restaurant and outdoor patio. High ratio of staff to guests. The staff are some of the most professional, friendly, and welcoming hotel staff I have encountered. I've stayed in several of the rooms and they have always been clean and well maintained. I highly recommend Ox Ville and will be returning there again.

The BEST hotel in Padang (Hotel yang paling baik!)

The Ox Ville is the best hotel I've stayed at in Padang. The building has a beautiful layout, set out around a compact central swimming pool. The room was absolutely spotlessly clean. When I first arrived, I noticed a staff member cleaning the balcony across from me, carefully wiping down the veranda rail and the arms of the lounge chairs. If you've stayed at other hotels here, you'd know how rare that level of attention to detail is. The furniture was comfortable and in very good condition. Two minor issues were that the bathroom basin plug wasn't working and it sometimes took a minute for hot water to arrive in the shower, but some small problems are inevitable in Indonesian hotels. Reception staff were friendly and had a very high standard of English (handy if you're an English speaker at least). There was a very high ratio of staff to guests. The breakfast was good and other meals from the kitchen were delicious and reasonably priced compared to most hotels; several simple local dishes made with fresh ingredients. Perhaps best of all, the room was such good value for money. I've stayed in several more expensive hotels in Padang, Dumai and Pekanbaru that were nowhere near as comfortable and clean.If you can find a better hotel in Padang, I'd be amazed. I just wish it wasn't so heavily booked-out as I'd like to come back with family next year! I highly recommend Ox Ville.
