"The traditional log cabin is very well located, close to the event agencies, 4 min away from a hotel with nice breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet. "Very nice location, lost in the woods. Absolute silence, very cosy chalet, well furnished. Instructions are only in Finnish but the local lady is very helpful and responsive (many systems are different from France here). The children beds could be better. You’ll need a car, being 5km away from Äkäslompolo center. The road service clears snow up to the chalet and driving, parking your car is not a problem at all here. In short: Perfect location to exerce every winter activity you may think of!"

"관광이 아닌 여행을 원하신다면 꼭 들려보세요. Truly an unspeakable experience. We visited in January 2025 to enjoy the Finnish winter, and this place provided an unforgettable time. We were lucky enough to see the aurora on our first night. Their spa facilities are excellent, and they even offer an ice bath experience in the river (we were too scared to try—lol). The cracking sounds in the forest were unlike anything we've experienced before. At first, it feels strange and intimate, but once you realize it's the sound of wood cracking due to the extreme cold, it becomes part of the unique natural experience. Coming from the U.S., we'd never heard anything like it. Interestingly, when we visited Saariselkä afterward, we didn’t hear that sound again—truly a one-of-a-kind memory. Overall, we had a great time. One small issue: we had heater problems twice during our 3-night stay. However, the maintenance team responded immediately and resolved the issue quickly. I believe this has likely been fully resolved by now. Oh, and their glögi? The best we had in all of Finland (we had glögi every day—lol). A truly wonderful experience. "

"Our first time in Finland and travelling with teenagers. Our plan was to ski, snowmobile and explore. The cabin served all our needs. The location is only a 5 min walk to the ski bus stop (outside the nearest hotel). Lift passes can also be bought from this hotel. This serves both ski mountains really well although we only used the north ski area.The supermarket is a 15 min walk and there are loads of activity shops, pubs and restaurants in close proximity.The cabin has a twin bedroom on the ground floor and a loft area with 2 single beds and a loo.It was warm, cosy and equipped with a wood fire, sauna, decent kitchen and cosy lounge area. Firewood is plentiful. Linda (our host) was very quick to respond to any questions or advice and the whole experience was enhanced by this accommodation. The surrounding area is beautiful. Would happily recommend."
