Spacious 2bd/2ba condo

Marriott Desert Springs Villas 1 is a beautiful, well run property, which was perfect for our family. Our grandkids, ages 4 and 8, loved the big pool and the resort activities. Our villa was really spacious, clean, and well equipped with a nice golf course view.

Beautiful property - access to everything!

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at the Marriott Villas. We were able to spread out between the two bedrooms and were surprised at how large this unit was. Kitchen was fully stocked. We biked, swam, played tennis and golf. Decent restaurants are within walking distance. Totally recommend and we will visit again!

Not what was advertised

We were traveling to CA for a cheer competition and needed a one night stay for my family of 4 and my kids 3 friends. I was told we were getting a room with two queen beds, a room with a king bed, and a full-size sofa sleeper. I was going to have my daughter and her one friend sleep in one of the queen beds, her other friends sleep in the second queen bed, and my son and his friend sleep in the full-size sofa sleeper. Unfortunately, when we got to the room which was really late, almost midnight. The check-in was almost 40 minutes because of Coachella, there was only one bed in one room and another bed in another room. There was a tiny toddler size chair in one of the rooms that they considered a trundle bed that you would have to be under 5 feet tall if it worked (it was broken) to lay on it and the sofa sleeper( I have a picture of my 5 foot nine sons feet hanging off the end of it.) It is definitely not full-size or for anyone over 5” that wants to sleep comfortably. I called Anna and the phone went to voicemail immediately. I called the front desk. They said that Anna would have to approve the change because this is what they booked for me. I explain this is not what I was paying the $800 for and they understood and agreed that was not what I purchased and I called Vrbo and they said they would try to get me into another room but it was already nearly 1 AM in the morning and we had to leave at 7 AM so we just dealt with it and had children on the floor and people just sleeping uncomfortably. The next day I messaged the host and she said that she offered me an upgrade in a newer part of the building and by doing so and excepting that I excepted less beds and it doesn’t matter the size of the beds. All that matters is there were technically four beds available even though two of the pull out/trundle beds were for tiny children. We went back-and-forth for hours messaging each other, and she kept blaming me saying it was my fault for accepting her offer on an upgrade. I would never rent from this person ever. This was a bait and switch, and I wouldn’t trust them or rent from them.
