"This is a stunner of a place! The grounds are tropical gardens and each cabin is gorgeously designed with local and recyclable materials. breakfast in the garden is divine and dinner in the evenings is hearty with local farm fresh products. To top it all off the owners are so delightful and truly welcoming. A fabulous stay- one we hope to return to! "

Just be SURE to rent a 4WD vehicle, as there are many steep and winding dirt roads to access the property with huge potholes and ruts. We knew about this area but if you have never been there be prepared for an off-road experience. Lots of birds and beauty make the effort worthwhile. Friendly and helpful caretakers. We had a lovely time:)"

"The Villa was wonderful. The grounds were like a botanical garden. We saw wildlife, howler monkeys, toucans and numerous birds, from the patio! It's location was perfect. The proximity to adventures and local restaurants was ideal. We would definitely stay here again. "

"We had a wonderful time at The Red Sunset of Guanacaste! The house is amazing, the views are spectacular and the host, Patrick, was so so helpful! And we can’t say enough about the wonderful delicious healthy breakfasts that Lisa and Mar made every day. Each day Patrick helped with our plans , sometimes arranging in advance. He also had terrific recommendations for dinner, we all loved the evening at Gingerbread Restaurant, a superb dining experience.Can not say enough good things , thank you Patrick!"
