"The name is wrong on Hotels.com. It is NOT The Pottsville Inn...... It is The Pottsville Hotel. That created a great deal of confusion initially. I did pay extra for upgraded room, but no window(?) so I wonder what the upgrade was. Staff was helpful, we requested extra towels and a light bulb in one of the sconces. We got the extra towels but bulb was not replaced. A fire alarm went off in our room at 2:03 am while we were fast asleep...... not too happy about that but I managed to shut it off. Make sure to turn it back on in room 319"

"The staff was great. It was easy to check in and check out and I really appreciated the welcome message I received before I arrived. Breakfast was great! and if you needed something, the staff would go out of their way to help."

"There were not many amenities nearby. Our toilet got clogged and had to use facility in the lobby. Hand and Body bar soaps provided in the room and quality of toilet tissue were of cheap quality as a cost saving measure since there's no foam from bath soap in shower - more like a piece of rock nicely wrapped! Breakfast cereals seem to be stocked from a Dollar Store though cereal dispensers had a labels cut out from Kellogg's Cheerios and Fruit loops since Original Cheerios are of round shape but the cereal provided by were smaller round and heart shaped. Night staff on duty is fast asleep since when we needed something from the front desk, we had to literally ring the bell on the counter to wake them up. You get what you pay for. I would rather pay slightly more to stay in a better hotel franchise brand than get 10% discount from Expedia One Key reward."

"Parking was great. Ac/Heat worked well but was noisy. A lot of broken little things - light switch covers, door knobs, tables. Bed was comfortable, and the furniture seems relatively new. Never once saw an employee at the front desk. Check in was done over the phone. Asking for more towels couldn't be handled at the desk - had to call. Check out? You guessed it, no one there, had to ring a bell and wait. That all said. The room was comfortable, relatively quiet, clean, and inexpensive. "
