The accommodations offered great value for the money. We appreciated the ability to bring our golden retriever, and have a parking spot in front. The owner and her staff were very friendly and helpful. The back area of the property, featuring green parrots and a blue macaw, added ambience and fun to the experience.

Unique stay

I needed a place to stay for one night. It was clean and unique. The staff was incredibly friendly. The room was clean. The shared bathroom was clean. Bring your own soap and shampoo. The ac was cold which was wonderful.

Looks family owned. Nice people. Got dogs and parrots. Dog barked at me so kinda sad. Area isnt bad but you still gotta be careful walking around. About a few blocks from the Metro.

This property was excellent. Excellent staff unfortunately I wasn’t able to get on my flight so I had to find somewhere quick that I could go and I came here. The grandmother was excellent. The granddaughter was excellent. I appreciated how they treated me.

Really good location if you want to be using the metro. Really easy to get from the airport to the location using the metro and then easy to get around. Rooms are simple but clean, and generally a good value place

Loved this place. Staying here felt like you’re away from the city. Good vibe, pool table, decent kitchen. The people working there obviously really care for the place as it’s getting cleaned all through the day. Would stay here again.

Wonderful stay at Panama House BnB. The whole family very much enjoyed the welcoming hosts, the open-air dining area and the green yard with its parrots and animals. The shade, the breeze and the quietness of the place were much appreciated on those very warm and busy days. The common areas make it easy to meet other travelers. There's a supermarket and a great fruit stand just a few minutes' walk from the property.

For the price we shouldn't complain and the room had an Airco. But in general the breakfast was moderate and the parrot in the house guaranteed an early wake up call. The owners didnt communicate much and had a limited level of English. The staff working there was friendly and efficient although they only spoke spanish. The layout of the social area made it a bit hard to feel at home, but maybe that is us. Two tables being permanently claimed by smokers didnt help either. Overall it is a safe place to stay but we missed the friendly social atmosphere we had in other hostels and the breakfast gets boring after 2 days.

Only stayed one night but would definitely return. Room was lovely. Beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable, perfect size. AC, water and water pressure worked perfectly. Staff was very kind and helpful. Via Argentina is about 10 minutes away by foot and the area felt safe and walkable at 10pm. Metro station is also about 10 minutes away. Highly recommended.

Air condition is available for night time only. If you want to do something in the room in day time, it may not be a good idea to stay here. Otherwise, this place is great. It is comfortable and inexpensive with complementary breakfast.

I really liked the HOT water in the shower - friendly staff - activities like the pool table, books, card games. The room and sheets were clean - towel provided - all very nice. The a/c worked but only starting at 6 pm so I couldn’t hang out in the room - but that’s ok - just didn’t know prior. The bed was firm/hard but better than others I’ve had. Pillow was lacking but ok. I would stay again.

An Oasis In A Busy City

This was a lovely hostel. Me and my friend felt extremely safe and calm here. The host was amazing, she gave us recommendations and always had a huge smile on her face. Me and my friend shared a double bedroom which had aircon and a view onto the pet parrot and parakeets. The complimentary breakfast was yummy and just what we needed. This is a great hostel if you are wanting a little oasis from the hustle and bustle of Panama City! The only suggestion would be to bring your own hand soap as there wasn’t any in the bathroom :)

Chose to stay at Panama House Bed and Breakfast simply due to its location being close to a Metro (train station) so I could cheaply and easily get there from the airport. I also used the same Metro (Argentina) to go all the way to the end of Red Line (Albrook station), then cross the highway via overpass (signed) to the bus station where I caught bus C810.to Panama Canal. After overpass go down to ground level and street at back between shopping centre, go to the right (Yellow C section) and look for Miraflores on both the bus and sign above where it stops. Only costs a few US dollars to use Metro and Metro buses. Way cheaper than tours. It is a hostel that seems to have more permanent residents than backpackers. So lacked that aspect of meeting fellow travelers to explore with you look for with a hostel. Also only two toilets and one shower (which is in same room as one of the toilets). Toilet and shower didn't have locks on own doors but you could lock the outside door. So you're wondering if other people are busting to go when using those. No dorm room key. When I arrived the owner who seemed annoyed he was interrupted from playing music with some of the permanents asked me to pay for the room even though it was already paid for. He then after I showed him reservation where it says I paid, looked up his computer agreed I had paid through Expedia (um no I did it here through Wotif). Also has some large birds in cages that make a lot of noise early morning.
