Adama Guesthouse

8/10 Good

"Adama Guesthouse is definitely one of the best looking accomodations in the Pelion region. The rooms are gorgeous, and the view of the sea from the mountain is stunning. The pool is an excellent feature, but we didn't get the chance to use it because it was already too cold. The breakfast was great too - very delicious and fresh. A couple of things we wish we new before our arrival: First, this is not a hotel, but a guesthouse. There's no reception and no staff. The very friendly Marianthi arrives to check you in and out. and keeps in touch with you through whatsapp if you need anything. Second, Adama is not located in the center of a village or at the beach, and it's pretty secluded. This part of Pelion is far from the main villages - Portaria and Makrinitsa. The roads are tough, and every drive is an issue. If you're looking for a nature getaway and being far away from everything - this is the place. However, we found this area a bit too boring to our taste, but this has nothing to do with Adama."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Cleopatra’s Miramare. The property is very close to a beautiful beach, and the whole area is peaceful and quiet. Everything was very clean, and the hosts were extremely kind and welcoming. The fridge was already stocked with fruit, eggs, butter, honey and jam, which was a very thoughtful touch. In the morning, the host also brought us fresh bread and a homemade pie. It felt very personal and comfortable, and we would happily stay here again."

"The villa is very nice, and it was very clean. There was also additional cleaning and new linnens and towels provided after 3 days. In addition, the host, Nikos, was very responsive, and very helpful. The view from the main balcony is wonderful - we spent alot of our time there! The village of Agios Ioannis is beautiful. There are many wonderful restaurant and bakery options. The areas for improvement are in the description of the villa. The space is spread over 3 floors and one of the bathrooms is outside the main villa. The space is difficult for those with mobility issues. We had my older mother with us, and it was a challenge. I think clarifying in the description the location of the bedrooms and bathrooms and the living space will be helpful to future travellers. The walk to the beach was more like 10 minutes and uphill on the way back."
