The room itself is basic but clean and functional. Sadly, it’s very noisy if you have a room facing the main road. I was on the 2nd floor and heard nothing but traffic, shouting from passers by and sirens all night, every night. If you’re a light sleeper or not used to city noises, that’s not ideal. There was also a small cockroach in the bathroom was, while I appreciate they’re everywhere, wasn’t pleasant. Otherwise, the hotel is in a great location and the staff are all great.

La Rioja may be Spain's most famous wine-producing region, but the Penedès area near Barcelona is also home to some excellent wine. The Jean Leon Wineries are small but have beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The wines are also delicious! My personal favorite was the Vinya Gigi Chardonnay
