After a late arrival we were welcomed by a very friendly staff member who went out of his way to assist us. Room was clean and quiet and perfect for a one night stay pending further travel.

Was in Paris for 6 days for work/ friends trip. Hotel Glassglow was safe and in a central, good area. It is located in a small street, not a main one and gave us more privacy and less noise. The hotel staff cleaned our room every day and changed our towels. The AC actually worked and was great. Bed was really comfortable too. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Check in and check out was quick and easy.

Staff were very rude , when we arrived we saw on the internet and expedia that check in is 2pm and the receptionniste told us that is not possible before 3pm but was very rude and yell at us. Honestly it was so disappointed that the staff was rude

Fab hotel.
We found Glasgow Monceau to be just what we wanted, clean, modern, tidy, staff lovely, our room wasn’t a courtyard view as advertised but really didn’t matter to us anyway, and even then I wouldn’t class it as anything worth noting and I’m sure if we’d brought it up they’d have moved us. Our air conditioning wasn’t working, though that may have been us being unable to work it, haha. I loved the area in the 17th arr and the Indian restaurant across the road is lovely for an easy dinner. Staff very impressively spoke multiple languages and the room was ideal, the bed was a dream and so comfortable, no street noise. Would definitely return. For anyone worrying about cleanliness or turning up and having a bad experience, I’d say not to worry about this place, it’s a little gem.

Hôtel Glasgow Monceau is a fantastic little hotel with a great location, and a lot of character. The staff is exceptionally helpful, with Stephan and the new night guy as particular standouts. The breakfast remains my children’s favorite. Easy access to major sites as well as old world neighborhood character make this simple choice tops.

I traveled in Paris with my friend. We stayed at this hotel for four nights. The hotel is located in a quiet street, 8 minute walk is needed to the nearest metro station(malesherbes). There are some cafe and shops like boulangery(fast food), sea food, market, vegetables and wine shop. A man, who welcomed us at a hotel, was very pleasant and helpful, he gave us a map and marked all sightseengs we should have seen. At the time of booking, I made a special request to give us a room with twin beds and allocate us on an upper floor. we were given a room on third floor, but with double bed (receptionist told us they received the booking with the request of double bed and prepared for us the room with double bed, I showed him my booking printed, that I had with myself - a room with twin beds. He told us we should complain about it to the site hotels.com, but it wouldn't change the situation, as they had no room with twin beds). There is a small lift in a hotel, so we used it all the time having no problem. The room was small, but clean. There were some necessities in the bathroom, such as a shower gel, shampoo (only for one person) and towels (for both), unfortunately there were no slippers. Discomfort for the room was that there were no switchers near the bed and there was less light in the room.

I liked that the hotel was within walking distance to various restaurants. The property's wifi was terrible, the streets outside our hotel were noisy and so was the elevator. We were unable to call between rooms. Everytime we wanted to reach our daughter we had to go over to her room personally. Too much to list.

Great place to stay for a solo traveller or couple
Perfect accommodation for a solo traveller at an affordable price. The room was clean albeit small. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was fairly reasonable with some attractions such as the Opera within walking distance.

Staffs are really bad. Checkin time is posted wrong in expedia. We were waiting for checkin from 1.15 pm vut they let others checkin before us and told us that they will check us in at 3pm.

Je n’étais pas content, quand j’ai demandé au réceptionniste avec la queue de cheval si on pouvait avoir une chambre un peu plus grande, il nous a répondu que normalement vous avez une plus petite et on a fait une faveur et on vous a donné une plus grande et si vous n’êtes pas content vous aurez du prendre une chambre à l’hôtel Ritz 5*. Ce n’est pas du service à la clientèle ça et ce n’est pas des choses à dire aux clients. Quand on a quitté ma femme lui a fait la remarque, il a fait une grimace. C’est vraie que l’hôtel était beau ainsi que le petit déjeuner était varié. Je ne veux pas généraliser que le service à la clientèle est partout comme ça en France. Déjà pour trouver mon chemin vers l’hôtel une passante s’est arrêté sans qu’on lui demande et elle a utilise l’application Waze de son iPhone et elle nous a montré comment s’y rendre. Merci bcp à la madame.

We were visiting Paris for 2 nights with 2 separate couples, so we booked the adjoining rooms to have our own space. Check in was easy. The elevators is incredibly small. Our rooms were not joined, but across the hall from each other which was fine. Well, if you're looking for space - this certainly is not the place. The management photos are panoramic views of a VERY small space. You can barely walk around the room. The shower looks nice, good water pressure, but you basically had to soap up the walls and spin around the get cleaned because you didn't have much room to work with. The other couples we stayed with, their shower leaked so bad on the floor that you would have thought the place was flooding. We noticed our room only had 1 large towel. When we went downstairs, we were told that each room had 2 towels and to double check. Went and checked, only 1 towel. In order to get new towels, you must exchange the previously used one. The location of the hotel is good and the beds were comfortable. I would not stay here again. Pictures are incredibly deceiving.

Central and near metro line to Charles de gaul. A bit noisy at night but that’s to be expected in a major city. Friendly staff and clean. Only criticism is the shower cubicle was so small I could barely turn round in it

It was ok, but wasn't exactly what we expected...
The rooms were much smaller than how it looks in the picture you see here! We had adjacent rooms, and unfortunately, one of them smelled very heavily of smoke. However, we had air-conditioning which we were extremely grateful for as the temps and humidity were high while we were visiting. They had a continental breakfast for an extra charge which was well stocked and had a lot of options. All-in-all, for the cost, I think this was an ok hotel. It was a ways from the main areas so we had to transit everywhere and it was a little bit of a walk to get to the transit stations. But, there were some good restaurants around that were within easy walking distance.

Big let down
Warm welcome but experience went downhill from check-in. Not set up for twin room as requested, safe did not work (flagged to reception who did not fix it or make any reference to not being able to fix), nor did the air conditioning. We had no control over temperature aside from opening a window. Room pretty small and bathroom smelt of cigarettes when we arrived (no fan, window or ventilation). Wallpaper hanging off the wall in places but worst of all despite there only being around 6 rooms on the floor, the soundproofing was woeful and we were kept awake and woken up constantly due to guests coming and going. I stay in hotels a great deal and have never had such a bad experience with noise from neighbours. Location was ok, bus nearby, metro a bit of a trek. Overall very disappointed.

Pleasant hotel conveniently located in Paris
Hotel fairly basic - small rooms. But the staff friendly, the breakfast buffet sets you up for the day & the location is excellent in a quiet part of town but with good proximity to Arc de Triomphe and also to Moulin Rouge. Delightful local (non touristy) bars/restaurants in Villiers too - just 3 minute walk from the hotel. We would recommend the hotel and stay there again for sure of when exploring Paris.

Don't waste your money.
Terrible experience for three reasons. First, the smell in the room. It is supposed to be a non smoking room, but the smell was so bad in the room that I had to sleep with the window opened. The carpet was probably very old and the room occupied by people smoking. I don't think it was just the last occupant because the smell was really strong. Second, the staff gave a key of my room to another customer. I was on the bed ready to sleep (after 10PM) when someone opened the door of my room. The customer was polite and closed the door, but how did they get the key of my room? What a mistake. The staff was not very friendly. They never asked if I was happy with the room and my experience. I think this hotel is like many other hotels in Paris. They don't care about the customer experience. The demand for place to stay in Paris must be so high that they know they will find customers. In addition, the building is old and you can ear people speaking in the other rooms. It is like camping in a tent. I don't understand how this hotel received 3 stars.

Upon arrival everything seems falling apart. The room we have has a broken safe and broken cabinets. The room is also dim. But the worse of it all as we arrived, the room has no air conditioned. We asked the front desk and told us that the a/c is centralized. So, the only solution we have is to open our windows!.. Looking at the brightside. The restroom is modern and close to metro. Breakfast is okay as it is included of what we pay. Otherwise, breakfast is 11 euro per person.

Great staff very accommodating daily breakfast was perfect. Rooms are well made maintaned and comfortable neighborhood is friendly. Many shops restaurants etc within short walk convenient to metro and buses. We would definitely recommend to our friends.

wanted somewhere close to metro stop with in room safe and free wifi. But there was no in room safe despite it saying on expedias website there was. i asked at reception and he said they had them before but go rid of them. some stuff i left at reception for safekeeping although it seemed like a cupboard rather than a safe but all was returned ok

Don't take the chance.
A real problem reviewing this hotel. The hotel is clean and house-keeping was good. The cleaning team was a bit too keen for my liking. It took a lot of persuading by my wife and I to NOT clean the room.Bedding and beds clean and comfy if a little small. Staff are extremely friendly and speak good English. Breakfast was a typical continental type but the Expedia site itself is ambiguous as part of site states breakfast is included and other parts state that it is not and is an extra. Thankfully I printed off the part that said it was included in the price and so the hotel had to offer this in the price otherwise I think we would have had a dispute on our hands. That is the positive and now for the negative part of the review. Our air conditioning stopped working on the evening of arrival and up to leaving the hotel 4 nights later it hadn't been fixed. Main light in the room stopped working and again no fix. Hair dryer the same. All the above problems were reported but not rectified. Tile fell from the wall in the shower and landed on my foot(ouch!) Curtain and rail fell as I opened the the window. electrical system seems to be a little iffy as exposed wires under the table caused a sharp intake of breath. No fridge or mini bar but this was not mentioned in the add so an oversight by me and no bar downstairs to end a hot evening taking in the sights of this Beautiful City.
