The property is fine, not quite what it looks in the pictures. It’s a worn out building, simple and a bit dark. The people are very nice and helpful. The breakfast is adequate. The area is fine during the day, with several restaurants and cafes, and close to the Metro. You can go everywhere using the Metro but the place is also within walking distance of many gorgeous sights. The Jardin des plants, right across the hotel is beautiful! The area becomes a bit lonely and somehow sketchy at night. We found the value of the place somehow high for what they offer. But nothing is cheap in Paris.

Comfortable hotel central to transport
Overall this Hotel was quite good. Room size was adequate and beds comfortable. TV and coffee maker on room however no iron nor fridge in room. Note that you only get 2 coffee capsules for coffee on the first day after that you need to buy your own or be charged 2 euro per capsule. Hotel is a 5 minute walk to Metro station and supermarkets. There is someone at front desk most times.

While the room was small, this was explained in the website prior to booking, so it was not a problem. It was an easy 15 minute walk to Notre Dame Cathedral. The Jardin des Plantes is directly across the street and has amazing gardens, zoo and museum. It is a block from the Sorbonne and there many nice cafes around to eat at. There’s also a local park that surrounds an ancient Roman arena, now used for community recreation. It’s an hidden gem!

No Wi-Fi in the room only available in the lobby. In addition, no mini fridge in the room and ice maker in the lobby. The lift is very tiny. The room is not too small but doesn’t have enough table surface. The room was newly renovated. The water pressure in the shower was good.

My wife and I were very happy with this hotel. I'd specifically chosen it solely because of its proximity to the Jardin des Plantes (and the amazing museums there), but it turned out to also be a great base of operations for exploring all over the city - especially a new discovery (for us), the nearby Rue Mouffetard, full of great little shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars - and life! The hotel itself borders on barebones but is really quite nice, especially for the money. Don't expect huge rooms (its Paris after all), and gilt everything. But, you do get quaint modern, clean, rooms which are just big enough, with great beds and amazing views - and friendly helpful staff. It's always a dumb thing to say, especially in a city as full of special neighborhoods and great places to stay, but we'd happily stay here again.

This gem is in a quiet neighborhood outside the business of Paris. Easy access to metro. Across the street from a beautiful botanical garden. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again!

Top notch!

From the moment I entered the lift for my 3rd-floor room, I had the sense of claustrophobia - very, very little space anywhere. My room had enough room for the bed but little else. Decent bathroom but stained toilet seat and towels were dubious.

The staff are very friendly and the location is perfect. We had a great view from the 4th floor and the room is quite newly renovated. We did find the room to be too small though with no space to put our luggage. The two single beds were very tiny, as were the towels provided. And the lift in the building was also very small with only room for 2 people in very close proximity. We would probably stay here again, although only if we had small bags as there was no space to put our things in the room. Paris is expensive but this place wasn’t quite worth the money we paid.

OK for one night stay. Otherwise not recommended.
Very convenient for the Metro and Jardin des Plantes (don't miss it) but the cramped bedroom had no drawers, hooks or wardrobe. Open hanging space with four coathangers. TV stations are all in French only. Temperamental coffee machine and one had to ask each day for ingredients. Neither bedside lamp was working. The shower was strong and new - so new in fact that the door was fitted only halfway through our five-night stay. A floorboard was raised. The toilet seat was unhinged. The cellar breakfast room had tiny tables with tiny plates. Breakfast was adequate.

Really close to the Metro station. Great location. We walked to Notre Dame from the room several days. The neighborhood is great, with plenty of good spots to grab a quick bite on the go. Excellent staff, and very clean room.

We’ve stayed there three times over the last 20 years and will continue to go back. The hotel rooms are predictably small but serviceable. The rooftop garden plants need a little clean up, but still provide a fantastic respite. The best thing? The location. The neighborhood is wonderful— few tourists and friendly local businesses. It never changes. We love it there. And the botanical garden is across the street.

What a great location! The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Everyone spoke enough English to easily communicate throughout our stay. Great water pressure, air conditioning, plenty of outlets, and plenty of storage space for our 4-night stay! Cute bistros and boulangeries nearby, the Jardin des Plantes is beautiful, and many transportation options with a metro station on block away and bike/scooter stations just steps away. The Mosquée de Paris is another stunning local find.

This hotel was good for a budget stay in Paris. It was 2 blocks from the Metro station, and from there 20 minutes by train from all the major attractions. On the flip side, the rooms are very small, the elevator only holds 2 persons, whenever a door opens it blocks the halls, in general is a very tight design. But it works as a place to drop the bags and come back to sleep at the end of your day. The AC was controlled from the from desk so that made it very uncomfortable for us since we wanted a colder temperature on our room. It was located on a pleasant and safe neighborhood.

Not to far from tube station and placed by beautiful gardens to sit and relax. Lots of shops and restaurants on your doorstep. Rooms are small but expected that as in Paris and clean. Very small staircase but lift for bags. We were allowed an early check in which was appreciated.
