Clean apartment in a terrible location

Our family was very excited for our stay at this apartment based on the description. The inside of the apartment was newly renovated (converted offices) and clean, with nice bathrooms. However, the apartment is located on the ground floor directly on a busy street. The apartment absorbed all of the noise from outside, including people walking in and out of the complex at all hours of the night. There were homeless people camped right outside and there are no security bars on the windows. When we raised our concerns to the host, she was rude and dismissive. I would not recommend staying here, particularly if you have young kids. Our family felt unsafe in this noisy location, especially with one bedroom a plate of glass away from the busy street (which we ended up not using).
