We stayed at Susie's VRBO during a family mountain biking vacation. We had 9 adults and 6 children of varying ages. The house is roomy with multiple choices for social spaces. Great morning and sunset views out the porch window. The family room has been stocked with a fresh set of games. The kitchen is perfect for family cooked meals with the grill on the nearby porch. Large dining table, expandable with additional leaves is available along with overflow seating at the kitchen counter bar stools or at the gaming table in the nearby family room.
Garage was made available for parking and for our bikes. (Susie included two kids and one adult mountain bikes. She also has an adult hybrid too). Overflow parking beyond the short driveway is available off-street on concrete pads nearby.
Location-wise it is very close to the conveniences of restaurants, markets, and bakeries (food is important to us - even when we don't cook it ourselves). Old Town isn't far away either.
Now to the biking! The house is on a quiet street with speed bumps and the rail trail is nearby. Perfect for our family's kids that wanted to bike or walk down to the nearby playground or ride the rail trail (and a nearby flat wildflower dirt trail with double and single track - butterflies!). For the older kids...they were ready to roll down the rail trail to the Round Valley system where a series of green (including a practice loop) and blue trails provided a good range for beginner and experienced mountain bikers to enjoy. For those wanting more of a challenge, there is the Lost Prospector trail right behind the house that offers great views of Park City and you can roll to town along the rail trail to take on climbing (or up a lift) the resort trails. (These trails are multi-user, so they are great for hiking too). The rail trail transitions close to the house to wetlands where you'll find wide range of birds - each pond with a different variety it seemed.
The house was very clean and Susie was responsive during our stay.
I think there's quite a variety of restaurants, but there is one bakery I'd mention since you might need to plan ahead. The Bakery at Windy Ridge was our go to for family sized desserts - mile high apple pie and a chocolate raspberry cake. They take orders with 48 hours notice...so to get what you'd like rather than just what is left, plan ahead! Groceries- try both the Fresh Market and the Market at Park City - each has its advantages.
