My son and I had a wonderful stay. Our hosts were lovely and friendly, answered all the animal questions from my son and made his year by supplying bread to feed the sheep. A fantastic place to stay for peaceful, relaxing holiday.
Had an absolutely amazing experience! The farm animals were amazing and the owners were so lovely. Would love to visit again in the future. The place had amazing views!
It was a great place to stay we all enjoyed our visit to Parkesbourne.
It was clean and tidy with comfy beds a must when travelling.
The Hosts were lovely and friendly. Just a pleasure to be around.
A lovely stay. So thankful for Ken and Kathleen who are extremely hospitable. The farm is beautiful with lots to do, a variety of animals and just perfect to relax and unwind.
We had a great time despite the weather being rainy and windy. Kathleen and Ken were so welcoming and made sure we were looked after and even showed us the animals in the rain. On arrival they had the heater on so the place was toasty which was so inviting. The place itself was very clean and comfortable, it has beautiful views and is very neat. The animals were lovely and getting to feed them was the absolute highlight!
The property was exactly as described!
I enjoyed my stay on Kathleen and Ken’s property. They kindly allowed my older dog to tag along and it was really nice to let her roam and be able to stay somewhere with character, access to farm animals, fresh eggs (thank you Kathleen!) and beautiful views. I didn’t want for anything, would highly recommend!
Excellent stay at a quiet and peaceful dog-friendly farm
We were very pleased with every aspect of our week long stay at Parkesbourne Farmstay. The rooms we stayed in were very clean and tidy, and facilities such as microwave, fridge,TV etc were all modern and up to date. There was a lovely verandah where you could sit and look at the farm and the sheep and cattle (and a family of ducks!) and watch the sunset. There was plenty of space for our two dogs to run around safely within a large fenced area. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended.
Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Kathleen and Ken’s property. They’re honestly the most lovely, welcoming people. Even without the lure of the farm, they’re enough to make you want to come back again. The farm is awesome, they’ve got a Cow, Bull, Sheep, Ducks, Chickens, Turkeys and a lovely little Puppy which are all super accessible during your stay. Aside from the paddock with the Bull (for obvious reason) you have pretty much free rein to go and explore the entire 25 acres. Ken left us plenty of fire wood for the outdoor fire pit and the heating inside was great. It got to a low of -7 while we were there but we didn’t notice it inside. Kathleen was also super helpful recommending a butcher on the way up where they actually supply some of the lamb themselves. We’ll definitely be back and would recommend this to anyone who’s thinking about booking. You won’t be disappointed.
We had a fantastic time at Kathleen and Ken’s farm stay. We absolutely loved the beautiful scenery, sunsets and sunrises, fire pit at night, and of course all the animals. We were made to feel most welcome and would love to return again sometime!
We loved our stay here! Ken and Kathleen were so welcoming and the kids loved seeing what farm life was all about. Would definitely love to stay again!
Lovely farm perfect to relax only a short trip from Canberra
I would highly recommend staying here to anyone wanting some peace and quiet and enjoying some time with the sheep, ducks, chickens, turkeys, adorable puppy, and cow. My toddler (and adults) loved going to feed the animals. Thank you Kathleen and Ken for hosting us.
Loved seeing all the animals, especially the sheep
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay there with our small children. The kids were entertained the whole time and happily explored the farm grounds, the paddocks, watched the animals and enjoyed the accommodation, all of which were very clean and tidy.
My 4.5 year old especially loved seeing all the sheep and lambs, with 2 new new lambs born on our last morning there - very special ❤️
Highly recommend this farm stay.
Thank you Kathleen and Ken for letting us stay there.
We had the best time I went up with my sisters for a birthday getaway. Kathleen is so sweet! They make you feel so welcome and at home, they’re so kind answer all your questions and go out of their way to make sure you’re having a great time.
It’s a breath of fresh air and so fun to see all the animals.
We had a fantastic time at Kathleen and Ken's place. The house was spotlessly clean, and very well set up and had all the mod cons. Great little kitchen with proper gas stove and full size fridge. Beautiful views over the valley and comfy chairs on the verandah to take it all in. Comfortable bed and excellent shower. We couldn't have asked for more. Perfect place from which to explore Goulburn, Crookwell and surrounds. We can highly recommend it.
My family (husband, myself, and two young children) have loved our farmstay in Parkesbourne. Kathleen and Ken’s hospitality and warmth are beyond commendable. They have ensured we have everything we needed during our stay, and have warmly welcomed us and showed the children around the farm, including feeding the sheep, collecting chicken eggs, patting baby chicks, and a tractor inspection (which the kids loved). The cubby house and sand pit in the front yard is also a real winner for our kids. I could go on about how wonderful our stay has been. We definitely recommend to families with kids, or anyone wanting a peaceful break from the city life. Thank you once again Kathleen and Ken. We will certainly be back in the near future.
Relaxed from the moment we got there. Great farm and set up with cubby house and sandpit for the kids. Views of the surrounds were excellent our hosts Kathleen and ken were great and let our kids feed the various animals which the kids (and adults) loved! The hosts also fired up the fire pit for marshmallows under the stars which was fantastic. Ken also sheared some sheep for the kids and gave them a taste of the farming lifestyle which the kids loved. A great stay and highly recommend anyone to book this place if you want to truly relax and enjoy the serenity. Thanks Ken and Kathleen for making our holiday so special, it was great!
