Guest Experiences: 10/10 "The Robin's Nest was a lovely home with a great layout and all the amenities we could ask for. A well-stocked spice drawer, extra blankets, great outdoor space, activities to go with said outdoor space. There were plenty of places for all of the humans and just as many for the four-legged guests that were with us. I would absolutely stay with Petchell again."
"When I say they had thought of everything, I mean everything! So many nice touches to make you feel welcomed and things you may not have thought of were readily available! The porch, the view, the rooms, the ambiance was all a peaceful serene getaway from a busy life!"

Had a great girls weekend at the river. We were greeted with a personal welcome sign and smores basket. Clean and well stocked. Plenty of room to enjoy ourselves. This is our 2nd time staying here and we will be back.
Very welcoming and comfortable home. They had everything you need to cook. The coffee bar was very nice to wake up to. The host even had stuff for making s’mores. Our adult kids loved sitting by the outside fire. I don’t think it could have been any better. The host checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay.
This was a great home away from home. Plenty of space and had all the amenities we needed to relax for our family Thanksgiving! I hope we can stay here again.
A group of women enjoyed this beautiful home for a long weekend. Great hang out space in the dining area; loved the covered outdoor porch even in the cool weather. We would definitely stay here again.
Excellent just a weekend get away. Water level is great for walking and kayaking, but I think way too low to bring in a boat. But beautifully decorated and very comfortable and quiet few day get away.
Beautiful property, nice and quiet. Had a blast playing with the playstation, very nostalgic. The dining room and firepit were our favorite spots. Thanks for letting us stay!!
Place for family to gather for a great weekend! The home is beautiful and had everything we needed and then some! Great indoor and outdoor space! We had a ball and will be back!
We took a girls trip, stayed 2 nights.
This property is absolutely beautiful. Each night we relaxed by a fire pit and roasted marshmallows and hotdogs. Lots of laughter and great memories.
Thank you for a great trip and we will definitely be back again.
The house was perfect. Pictures were true for the house but not for the lake front. The lake was very low which was a disappointment but the overall experience was great. We all had a great relaxing couple of days. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for sharing your piece of heaven.
Really enjoyed our stay here. What an amazing place. The water was way down which was disappointing but no fault of the host. We hope to return here for future family gatherings. It was ideal for that. Thanks!!!
This property is private and peaceful. Really a home from home, has everything you will need and more! Bathrooms are lovely bed is comfy. Loved wakening in the morning and watching the geese on the lake from my bed! Thank you so much for having us. We will be back!
We spent Christmas holidays with our family at this property and it was a winner! The location is beautiful the view from the deck amazing and the layout of the home and ambience was top level. It had everything we needed and the surroundings were just beautiful and lovely home we also were able to Connect with the owners very easily, and they were very responsive to any of our questions. This was a great choice and I’m glad it worked out. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
My wife and I wanted to stay somewhere on the lake, to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary and that would allow our fur babies. Robins Nest was perfect for our needs. The house is beautiful, very clean, plenty of room. The grounds and view is fantastic. We spent most of our long weekend, hanging out on the covered patio. Our Son and his family came up and spent Saturday with us. The grandkids loved the Kayaks and paddle boards. Would definitely recommend this place for a comfortable and beautiful get away.
The home was very nicely decorated and supplied everything that we wanted. It is so peaceful and we spent every day on the patio looking at the beautiful scenery. We had a wonderful time and plan on coming back. The only thing that was a slight annoyance was that in both showers the water would fluctuate from hot to cold. Definitely not a big enough issue to keep me from coming back.
Beautiful 5 star property! I needed a place to stay that would accommodate myself and my crew thru the winter months while we worked an out-of-town job. This was the perfect ‘home away from home’. The kitchen was well-equipped for preparing meals and the beds were comfortable. Thank you, Petchell for being excellent at communication and for being such a gracious host, making sure we had everything we needed. This cabin was nice to come home to at the end of a long day. I will definitely stay here again, but next time I plan to just relax and wet a line! Randy Eli
Everything about our experience was perfect, getting to bring our fur babies was so enjoyable. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking on the grill. The house was super cute and had plenty of room. Our view of the lake was breathtaking. The porch and fire pit was enjoyable. So peaceful and relaxing. We truly didn't want to leave! We hope to come back very soon! Thank you so much to our wonderful hosts for the perfect get-away!
Great place to stay to unwind! Spacious, clean, and well equipped. Nice beds, amazing views, quiet location. We used the grill and fire pit regularly (wood provided) and never had issues with mosquitoes.
Our teenagers played on/in the water with the provided equipment. We explored a state park nearby (about 30 minutes) one day.
The neighbor's dog was hanging out with us often which we did not mind. However, if you do not like or are afraid of dogs this is not the place for you.
Our stay at this quaint and comfortable home was wonderful! This home had plenty of room with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay.
The view and yard are wonderful with a view of the river and a lovely covered patio and fire pit.
There is a steep hill leading to the house so it’s not boat friendly. The neighbor is wonderful and allowed us to park our boat at their house.
I wouldn’t change a thing about this home, we really enjoyed it.
I booked the Robin's nest with just a couple of days notice and by all rights, it shouldn't have been available! The property is wonderfully situated with a stunning lake view. Tastefully decorated and pet friendly. Our dog loved the woods and splashing around in the lake.
This property is secluded! Bringing our own food made for great family grilling experiences. One suggestion is to bring a couple of Duraflame starter logs for the fire pit. Quick lighting with hours of fire time drinking your favorite bourbon and roasting marshmallows.
My wife and I are very familiar with the central Tennesse area even though we currently reside in Florida. We asked our adult children where they would like to have the reunion this year and all requested central Tennessee. We had never stayed at this VRBO before; however, it was pet friendly and big enough to house all of us. Our children came from all over the US to attend. All were very happy with the accommodations. The home is very well stocked, clean and in a very peaceful location. The children came and went as travel required but my wife and I stayed for the full 10 days. Would have stayed longer if we could. I highly recommend this camp/cabin/house to anyone wanting some space and tranquility. The host was always available and. helpful.
We booked the cabin for my son’s graduation and birthday celebration. The set up of the home was perfect for our group. I have never stayed ANYWHERE else that had every touch of every amenity. The bathrooms were stocked with toilet paper, a whole first aid kit (which came in handy), shampoo, conditioner, and so much more! The kitchen had spices, condiments in the fridge, pods for the dishwasher, paper towels. These owners thought of absolutely everything a family would need that we wouldn’t have to run back and forth to the store. I thoroughly enjoyed the massive deck on the back porch with the ceiling fans and rocking chairs. The path down to the deck was beautifully lit with solar lamps. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. Everyone had something to do. 10/10 would stay again. The owner was so accommodating and the grounds keeper even came out when the deck got stuck so we could fish.
Very cozy house and hosts were wonderful! We used this as a “home base” for a motorcycle trip with friends, and the area has lots to explore and great little restaurants. Excellent place! Hope to be back!
