"We arrived after a very long journey and the welcome we received from Charlotte was amazing! She was so helpful and kind in making sure we had everything we needed! The accommodation was super clean and comfortable. And I don't know where to start with the homemade breakfast - we all ate so much as it was all really tasty and fresh. We will definitely stay here again when travelling through France!"

10. LILAC SUITE BATHROOM AND WC PRIVATE

Saint-Jean-De-Sauves

"This place was an epic fail. The place is deplorable. It started with just the exterior being unkept with junk and dozens of cats roaming around. The photos they used must be 20 years old because nothing looked like that. At first they couldn't find my reservation. My room had not been cleaned. There were no towels. The sheets had not been changed. The shower had not been cleaned. Aside from giving me three towels, They did nothing to change this situation. "We spent a lovely few days with Jean-Phillipe and Michelle in this very tranquil and beautiful part of rural France. Jean-Phillipe had some local wines available to sample and also has a BBQ that can be used and a games room. The swimming pool was very clean and everything very well maintained. It’s a short drive to Saumur where there are shops and restaurants and activities such as bike hire. Would recommend."

Top Pas-de-Jeu Hotel Reviews

Fontevraud L'Ermitage

10/10 Excellent

"What a magical place! The peace and tranquility of this lovely hotel is fabulous. We had a garden room which was really special. Don’t miss enjoying the restaurant. The food is wonderful!"

Château La Comtesse de Loire & Spa

8/10 Good

"Hotel is situated a little tucked away from the main area, but it’s a small town and easy to get around. We were not able to check in before 3pm, and were asked to ring the buzzer every time to be let in. It was a little confusing, but we managed. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and the bathroom was luxurious. We enjoyed our stay, but we also barely spent any time in it as there is so much to do around Saumur. Everything is within walking distance, even the train station (although a little farther, it’s still walkable)."
