Carus Cappadocia

"I stayed at Carus Cappadocia for three nights in September 2026. The good: The hotel has one of the best locations in central Göreme - literally a two-minute walk from the main street, with much less uphill walking than at many other hotels. Breakfast is a preset menu rather than a buffet, but adequate, and the rooftop restaurant has fantastic views and excellent service. The bathroom is spacious, water pressure is good, and Molton Brown toiletries are a nice touch. There is also a small indoor pool. The bad: This is a “cave” hotel. My Suite had character but was certainly not luxurious. The AC/heat system did a poor job controlling the temperature, requiring frequent manual adjustments. The in-room safe is tiny - not large enough for a laptop - and mine stopped working shortly after being repaired. The mixed: Wi-Fi and cellular reception did not reach the bathroom, presumably because of the thick cave walls. Parking is very limited, although the staff helped secure a spot throughout my stay. Overall: I would consider Carus a solid 3.0–3.5-star hotel in a superb location. If you want the cave-hotel experience in central Göreme, it is an excellent choice - just arrive with appropriate expectations."

"I solo travelled and stayed at the Rio Cappadocia hotel for 2 days and I have a great time. Çeçen was extremely helpful, very knowledgeable and kind. He had the best deals for excursions and tours. Umar and Samet work reception as well and were great help, always available at any time to help book a taxi or if needed. Breakfast was delicious, coffee available 24/7, housekeeping was spotless and quick. WiFi was very good especially in lobby/terrace areas. The location of the hotel was great, a short walk to the market and restaurants. I would 10/10 stay again. Great staff, well maintained hotel, and excellent location."
