Last minute trip scheduled the day before the trip. Hosts are nice folks. Cute little cabins right in the middle of the rim country attractions. Met some good people from the other cabins. Cooked some food on the grills provided. Had a nice campfire at night. Heard elk around the cabins during the night. Scenic area. Close enough to Payson to go into town and grab some more supplies. Good trip overall.
The cabin had ample sleeping space, very clean and comfortable. Kitchen had the basics, and cooking space was very small but do-able. Jacuzzi was also nice, space is just large enough to fit it and we had to get creative with the cover and what to do with it. If you’re bringing your toys there is not a lot of parking for trailers and extras. Space for your vehicle and had to figure out what to do with the rest, but the owners were helpful on what to do. Just a few last minute hiccups but overall we had a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.
We had a very nice time up at this cabin. Beautiful mountain area. Quite and Peaceful, very relaxing. The fire pit area was great, as well as the both types of grills (Propane and Charcoal). The room was really nice and clean and very cozy. Loved the country feeling in the room. The Jacuzzi was a wonderful addition to the room, nicely keep up, even towels next to the Jacuzzi to dry off when getting out.
Our interaction with the owners was awesome, very polite and courteous and friendly.
We would highly recommend this establishment.
I have already recommended this place to a few of my co-workers.
Thanks for the great time we had at your establishment. We can't wait for our next trip to your cabin.
Sincerely,
Ernesto & Suzie Rosa
My husband and daughter (4mo) wanted a relaxing weekend.
First they double booked the cabin we had reserved. Fortunately they had another one available.
Then when we got settled when we open the water in the bathroom and kitchen sink, and sewer smell would come, horrible! When we mentioned to the property manager, he said that when the hot water stays in the tank for too long it come out stinky, and we should let the hot water run, until it’s empty and that should solve the problem with the smell. Which it did, but if they know about this, maybe they need to do that before guests arrive????
Than, on our last night we had no power or water for a while, In The morning it kept coming on and off… not sure what happened there, but we just left.
I booked this stay months ago as I had stayed here before with prior owners and it was amazing. i can not say the same for this time, i was beyond disappointed! Upon arrival i was met with angry renters from 2 other cabins who arrived to dirty cabins (filthy fridge that they ended up having to clean) and no water in their hot tubs. After speaking to them we discovered our cabin was dirty as well the table had food / drink stains, the coffee machine must have not been washed in who knows how long, the shower was dirty with a very old soggy mat sitting by it and our hot tub was also not working and had no water. (this is the reason why we spent money to stay here) They could have told us prior to making the drive up that it was not working.
When i called to inquire they made no efforts to help us they offered to let us use the hot tub outside the main house which was not close and it was raining hard and cold outside they also failed to communicate further with us and never bothered reaching out to us again. The next day our neighbor informed us someone came by and fixed the hot tub, would of been nice if they had bothered to tell us first also the hot tub never heated and we were unable to use it. The communication with this new owner was horrible and they didn't bother to try to help us.
This place was super perfect for my kids and I . Great location, close to all the activities! During our stay we got hiked waterwheel & hortons creek. Visited Christopher creek and the trout hatchery and tonto catch a trout:) grilling was a breeze and horseshoes & beanbag toss kept the kids busy while I was cooking. We did a evening walk both nights down a forest road down the way which we saw elk and enjoyed the views. Super cool! No creek was running on sight, that’d be the only thing to make it better but wasn’t the right time of the year :)
The cabin and surrounding property were wonderful. Very clean, everything it was advertised. Nice sitting area outside, horseshoes, bags. Bbq grills were great. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you for the great mini vacation. 😊
The cabins in this area are very well kept and enjoyable to stay in. My only advise would be to have the photos, wifi info and anything related to each particular cabin updated. We stayed in #1 because #5 had changed and jacuzzi was not hot. No biggie! Due to lack of phone reception we could not reach the manager without having to drive down the road and find a signal. Perhaps if the wifi password was given to the renters prior to the date of reservation this would help to alleviate any frustrations. All in all it was a very nice place and would definitely rent again. Thanks, SP

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Cute place
Beware of Google Maps. Clicking on the address took us down an entirely different road - which of course is not the fault of the owners in any way. Might be better for you if you manually input the address. Easiest way to find is that it's off Colcord Rd. - just past Gordon Creek Trailhead.
Reservation somehow was double booked. We had been confirmed for Cabin #5. Arrived and someone else was in our particular cabin. Luckily cabin #6 (identical) was available or there would have been an entirely different outcome and review. Minor repairs were being made to the property (rain gutter was sitting on the ground, painters tape around porch pedestals) and there were no paper towels. But overall, nice place, good location and relaxing.
This place was so amazing!! We absolutely loved Everything about this place! The organization and cleanliness and over all set up. The place is SO relaxing and the jacuzzi was perfect! The TV the Bible, the fireplace and bon fire! So peaceful! Had everything we needed! All kitchen items and much more! The view, the location all like a dream! Every moment was well worth the amount we paid. God bless this place for years to come! Amen
Amazing little cabins with great amenities. I liked the location it had a lot of creekside hikes just a short drive away. A nice quiet place and the hosts were very accommodating.
Well run property with all the amenities you need to be comfortable and the hosts are friendly and helpful. I enjoyed their choice of music that was on when I entered the cabin!
This cabin was so nice and peaceful and a perfect romantic Christmas get away. The only con is that the cabins are pretty close together but we didn't have any problems with other guests during our stay and couldn't hear anything from the other guest in the cabin, they seem to do pretty well keeping sound inside them.
This is honestly such a lovely little tucked away place and it is absolutely serene. Ken and Diana we're awesome hosts and very sweet. The cabins themselves are tucked away from the main roads but not very far from the downtown area of Payson. ❤
Had an awesome time staying at Mountain Meadows cabins… Perfectly located if you’re exploring rim country. Simple accommodations but all you need… just sitting on the front porch looking at the rim was heaven. Added bonus I heard elk bugling not too far away… I will definitely come back. Thank you for a wonderful stay
My family and I visited during our daughter’s Easter break. The peace, quiet and beautiful nature surroundings as well as Diana and Ken’s attentiveness throughout our visit made our experience unique and very relaxing
