"Staff was great. Location was phenomenal. Inside the hotel room was very good - linens, smart features, bathroom - all clean and modern. I would say my biggest complaint was that the hotel itself is in need of a renovation. It’s a bit run down and doesn’t feel like a 5 star hotel from the outside. Our room was in building 3 and to get to it we had to take elevators and stairs - it was definitely like a maze to get to the room. The balcony had a great view of the ocean - but the hallway to the room felt like walking through a basement dungeon. But as I said the staff was great and the location is superb."

"Breakfast was good and the same every day (scrambled eggs, hash browns, pancakes, sausage, cereals, juices and coffee). The line flowed quickly and most days I took a to-go box and ate in my room. The sidewalks could be a bit cleaner but acceptable. Front Desk personnel were exceptional and quickly handled the couple issues I had, like leaving my room access card in my room and quickly providing me a new one. My one complaint would be the TVs. In the bedroom area, the speaker was poor and the remote did not match the TV—leading to remote issues. When I asked for a new remote, I got one that was also not the same manufacturer as the TV. There is no onscreen guide so I was left having to tediously run through the channels one by one. I chose to watch my tablet. Then again, I had more channels on my tablet. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and the service I received. "

"We enjoyed our stay at Laguna Hills Lodge. The property has manicured green lawns, beautiful vine flowers, clean room with oversize mirror, spacious parking space, decent breakfast, courteous staff, and walking distance to nearby restaurants and shops. However, there are few things that we noticed that needs improvement: please replace worn out white sheets & pillow cases, repair wobble beds, paint over or replace chipped nightstand, and provide 2 courtesy bottle water. We don’t mind staying here again on our next trip. "
