Rooster's Roost of Bells Cove

Tranquility defined!
Situated on a hill surrounded by the glorious South Cumberland mountains, and hundreds of acres of rolling green fields, this captivating cottage is irresistible. It's Curry and Ives setting alone is worthy of framing.
From the late 1800s, this humble dwelling was home to multiple generations of one of the early families in Bell's Cove.

Fortunately, it has been restored and renovated with incredible skill, and with a deep love and abiding commitment to its history by two dedicated descendants.

The rusticity of its 100 plus year old origins has been retained, yet it's inner beauty has been brought out with a refined flair! This meticulous renovation is so stylish and...simply exquisite..

Accented with original stone fireplaces, vintage and repurposed materials, antique furnishings, and updated with the latest in amenities, it is an experience not to be missed!

A beautiful kitchen and charming bath, add to the comfort of your 'get away from the rat race' time here.
Sleeps six comfortably in three large bedrooms, on gorgeous vintage style queen beds! All with lush mattresses, and dressed in cozy comforters and fluffy pillows. You're completely surrounded by beautiful wood floors, walls and ceilings, and are guaranteed to awake refreshed and replenished!

Large and perfectly outfitted kitchen makes preparing meals easy!

You're surrounded by history, surrounded by the seclusion and serenity of the countryside, with all the comforts and more of home.

This delightful cottage is filled with family mementos, beautiful furnishings and linens, and wonderful vintage 'rooster' memorabilia, hence its name, Rooster's Roost. The photos don't do this spectacular property justice!

Beautiful views are available from several beautifully designed outdoor patios and porches with lots of gathering choices.

Wonderful fire pit, grilling area, and lovely vintage Adirondack chairs on the covered side porch with views of the expansive tree dotted lawn. What a fabulous spot for a glass of wine or a morning coffee!

Huge front porch with outdoor dining area, a classic Southern porch swing, and flowers and trees surrounding you with beauty and fragrance.

Wander the expansive lawn on the way to the pond amidst fruit and colorful specimen trees. Relax in country blue Adirondacks that are shaded under the ancient apple tree, overlooking the peaceful pond with the new cantilevered dock. You will often see deer sharing this beautiful space!

Just minutes from The Caverns for amazing concert experiences, the quaint mountain villages of Sewanee, Monteagle and Tracy City, the spectacular State Parks of our beautiful mountains loaded with waterfalls, rock climbing, and amazing hiking. And just minutes to the Interstate.

All of which makes this amazing property an incredibly accessible, yet pristinely private, dream come true! You will never regret nor never forget your experience at Roosters Roost!"

Beautiful home and property!
Wish we had been in the area for a longer stay. The house was decorated beautifully. Loved the style. Our puppy loved running around the yard. She is used to the space at home. Makes for a tired puppy at bedtime! Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Great stay
We had a short but lovely stay on our way to see Sewanee University. The house has everything you’d need and the land is beautiful. Sat out in the morning with coffee listening to roosters and birds. Loved it!

Lovely country setting
This 3 bedroom house had all we needed for our visit to The Caverns. Nice country setting with fire pit and outdoor patio seating and front porch seating. Great value and great location. The living area was very small, but we didn’t spend time inside so not an issue. The space heater in one bedroom was a little noisy. Overall we would come back due to the close location to The Caverns.

Fabulous Farmhouse
Rooster's Roost is a delightful place to stay, just minutes from Monteagle and the Fiery Gizzard trail. My sweetheart and I try to hike Fiery Gizzard at least once a year and this has been our favorite stay of the last few years. We definitely recommend.

Shabby chic
We were in the area for a concert at The Cavern’s. It’s a bit of a drive considering the backroads, but not bad. We wish it had been a summer stay where we could have enjoyed the outside of the property more. Cute back patio with grill and fire pit, pond and chickens on the property. There were space heaters in each room so we stayed very comfy. The kitchen has everything you would need. Fun little getaway in a rustic cabin/home on a nice patch of land in the countryside.

Charming home
This beautiful historic property was just what we needed for our brief stay in the area. We arrived late, unfortunately, but with enough time to cook a meal in the kitchen and explore a bit before turning in. Everything we needed was at hand. All of the beds were so comfortable. We rose early and visited the chickens, made coffee and poked around a bit, before we had to take off again. It was just right for our family of 2 adults + 2 teenagers, visiting the university. I wish we’d had longer to stay, but enjoyed our short visit!
