Whispering Pines Cabin near beautiful Lake Ouachita

"This was the perfect place for my crystal mining adventure! Location is just down the road from some of the mines and there is a big lake a few minutes away too. Very peaceful setting with so much thought put into all the details by owners. Chairs around a fire pit, hammocks, grill, board games, Netflix and even a washing station outside to clean up crystals.My favorite part was the path in back of the cabin, that lead down through the trees to a creek. Wading around in the water was a great way to cool off and do a little rockhounding.Owners were great and made sure to be available if anything was needed."

"The property was easy to access. It is harder to get to the water because the steps are missing that were there the last time we went. One outside chair is broken. Missing a board. The water smell inside the house when washing hands, showering, and at kitchen sink was awful, which we read was well water and normal, so we tolerated it. We did not notice it at the last rental. This time it was really strong. Overall a good stay and the kids want to go back now!!!"

"The creek in the backyard was EVERYTHING!!! Best part of the entire trip! The cabin was simple and awesome as well! There is no central ac. Only a window unit and two portable acs (one in each room). So it was a little warmer than we would have liked. Only the living room has a tv. A few other minor things that were seriously just personal preferences to make the house even better, but truly we LOVED our stay!!! Absolutely wonderful!"

"Our stay was amazing! This cabin was super clean, very nice, and secluded as advertised. I would highly recommend staying here. The only thing that was maybe a little misleading was that the part of the property that is on the river is right next to a public access point and there were several people 100ft from the property the entire time we stayed. It wasn’t a huge deal and maybe most of the time it isn’t a problem this was just our experience. I would still come back and my family and I had a great time."
