Hotel Ruby Ponderay/Sandpoint
6/10 Okay
"The rooms are nice & clean. Hotel property is kept very clean & looks nice. The breakfast went from a 10 star back in November 2025 to a 2 star now. The only actual hot option was a waffle. There was a prepackaged breakfast sandwich I had to heat up in the microwave - no thank you. The staff when we checked in were pleasant but did not go out of their way. The staff in the morning - cleaning staff was pleasant & helpful, desk staff were not very pleasant & did not appreciate when I voiced my opinion about the breakfast. I understand circumstances have changed but the hotel needs to pick it up and do better where the breakfast is concerned.
The pool area is great & the fire pits outside are very nice."
"Wonderful. The only comment, and it’s minor, is that we would have appreciated some arrangements for breakfast. Coffee/tea and something to go along with it, as there is nothing in the immediate area available. "
"This was our second time staying here. The first time we stayed in a hot tub suite and the beds were MUCH more comfortable than our double queen room. The beds in the double queen were pretty bad. The property is nice, pool is great, love that it's walking distance to everything downtown. Will definitely stay again while passing through."
"My family's trip consisted of 3 different VRBO properties on a multi-week journey. This was the 3rd location and due to some unforeseen circumstances with the 2nd property we reached out to Amelia to see if we could move up our booking date as much as possible. She was more than accommodating and we were able to get to the Bluebird Lakehouse earlier than originally planned. This was a great relief and saved our trip. This is a nice cottage in a small community of them."
"First time being in the small town. Nice. Friendly people. Awesome place to stay. A little pricey but very close to Silverwood theme park (15 mins drive)"
