hotel is tired..needs freshened up. Always a queue at reception so difficult to have any queries answered. Definitely not 4* star. Rooms basic and need refreshed. No toiletries provided. Suite kitchen has NO cooking utensils and only 2 patio seats and one sofa indoors for 5 people. Breakfast not too bad but certainly room for improvement with dinnners. No water provided with dinners nor were you allowed to bring in your own so had no choice but to pay min €3 for a bottle of water if wanting a drink with dinner. Entertainment only started at 10pm and stopped at 12pm. ..very loud so hotel not suitable if have young children. Stayed 2 nights and tried to charge me 3 days parking at €16 per day. When questioned why charged 3 days when we couldnt even get into carpark until 3pm on the 1st day they then reduced it to 2 days (€32)...but even with that €16 per day for parking is excessive. We stayed 2 nights with plan to possibly stay longer but decided 2 days was more than enough. Staff simply doing their jobs possibly begrudingly .. no pleasantries at all. Overall i would say hotel is just OK at a push

Good location, average food although good presentation. Bath no suitable for elderly people as it was too high to use to have showers, no enough space in the bathroom to put toiletries, At the Hotel pool music extremely high in volume for a family hotel.

Comfortable rooms, ok hotel
Comfortable rooms. Location ok - not quite as pleasant as the beach on Papa Luna. Main negative for us was the noisy pool - loud music most of the day and kids entertainment. Short walk to castle and beaches. Fairly priced parking.

Not a good hotel for the price
We stayed in a Junior Suite. The room did not seem to be prepared for guests. There were zero utilities in the kitchen. When I asked at the reception, they told me to go to the restaurant and ask for silverware, plates, etc. The internet was turned off. It took the technicians a while to get it started. The TV didn’t work and had to be set up. The tower our room was located in seemed to be deserted. When I asked to be moved to a regular room, I was told that they could not “downgrade” us because we had booked through hotels.com . Overall, this hotel does not deserve 4 stars and is not worth the money.

Such a pity it’s Front of House let it down
It’s a real shame as Peniscola is lovely and hotel perfectly located with a brilliant underground garage onsite (14 Euros per night). Hotel main areas are very nice but room was pokey, unclean, lights in bathroom that didn’t work. No amenities and one small towel. Compare this to the nine other hotels I’ve stayed in around a three week tour by car of Spain the room, despite it being a 4* hotel easily the worst and THE only hotel I’ve given a negative review to in these Covid 19 times. I asked reception for a room change as not what I’d booked (double room single use) or expected for two nights. Instead got a very unhelpful “no senor but we will send maintenance to fix lights”. Unsurprisingly they never came. As I said such a shame the front of house staff let the hotel down very badly. I’m sorry Agora, despite the glossy pictures on my next long road trip I won’t be frequenting you again. You might want to take a leaf out of hotels like the Avenida in San Sebastián or the NH in Caceres to see how a hotel should be run. I do have pictures of room and lights etc.

Peniscola
Peniscola is a nice town. Clean beaches, very good old town. This hotel was average, no style, no drinking water, no coffee or kettle in the room. You buy everything here.

The fridge in the room was not kept cool/did not work to keep essential medication refrigerated. I was told this was normal and medication could be kept at reception. Not an acceptable solution. States fridge in room. This was not fit for purpose.

Lo mejor la buena ubicación. Las instalaciones están un poco deterioradas, los grifos salía el agua marrón, poca presión y el agua caliente era templada. Se escuchaban bastante las tuberías por la noche, y el balcón no tenía persiana, y a pesar de la doble cortina, la luz entraba por la mañana por los lados de las cortinas. El buffet de la cena muy muy escaso.

Lamentamos que su espera se le hiciera tan larga a pesar que como mucho, cuando hay gran afluencia de público, se demora hasta unos 15 minutos.En ningún momento se da preferencia a nadie. Simplemente, nuestro personal de recepción se reparte las funciones de check-in individual y de grupos.

Inmejorable!
Mi familia y yo hemos estado muy bien. La habitación con muy buenas vistas, muy amplia y limpia. El comedor muy bien organizado y la comida excelente. El hotel en general muy amplio y limpio y muy bien ubicado.

Nos alojamos en una junior suite y muy bien la verdad. Ni un ruido, sin colas en los ascensores, el bufett bien. Por poner alguna pega dicen que tiene gimnasio yse limita a 4 maquinas de las cuales 2 están rotas y no se pueden utilizar. Eso se podría mejorar algo.

El alojamiento esta bien, tiene alguna cosas que mejorar para mi gusto, como por ejemplo el dispensador de gel en los baños, no había champú, la limpieza también se podría mejorar. La piscina es un poco pequeña para toda la gente. Comida bien, no esta nada mal. Situación perfecta. El personal muy agradable. Tienen animación todas las noches. El horario del chill out se debería ampliar también. El aparcamiento un poco caro 16€ por noche. Para mi es más bien un 3*, pero a pesar de todo esto, recomiendo el hotel si vais a Peñiscola.

Bien con PEROS
En aspectos generales bien. Siempre hay peros. por ejemplo, por el precio que pagas y ser un 4 estrellas y la escasa cantidad de papel de wc para 3 personas, que el acceso a la terraza de la habitación quede tan estrecho que me llevo de recuerdo un rasguño guapo en la pierna por culpa de la esquina del mueble, que pongan sofá cama pero realmente es solo sofá, las camas son de 135, la entrada al baño muy estrecha, la puerta bufada y se encallaba... en fin para ser una habitación suite junior me sorprende el descuido en esos detalles. La animación del hotel brilla por su ausencia durante el dia y por la noche, bueno, hay cada noche show de 2h pero son poco atractivos, si no hay algún abuelo que se anime, los niños se duermen del aburrimiento con tanta balada y canción antigua. La parte positiva es que la mayoria de la gente se va durante el dia a la playa y por la noche se van fuera y la verdad no hay aglomeraciones. Nosotros somos de ir a comer siempre a las primeras horas y, la verdad es que en ningún momento hicimos cola.

Très bon séjour à Agora Hotel de Peñiscolà
Hotel très agréable, nous sommes restés un weekend prolongé mais tout s’est déroulé parfaitement. Un accueil chaleureux de la part d’une jeune femme parlant le français pour simplifier la communication et notamment pour nous permettre de profiter pleinement du lieu et de la ville de Peñiscolà. Merci encore à elle. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel. Une petite amélioration cependant sur le système du petit déjeuner => sans une carte cartonnée spécifique pas moyen de petit déjeuner. Ce serait plus simple de faire comme dans les autres hotels et communiquer simplemebt sur le numero de chambre.

En este hotel pude disfrutar de una muy agradable estancia junto a mi familia. Las instalaciones están fenomenal, el personal es muy amable y tener actuaciones por la noche y actividades para niños es algo que me encantó, repetiría sin duda!

Me gustó la amplitud de la habitación, lo nuevo que estaba el mobiliario, la comodidad de las camas y la excelente ubicación, a escasos metros de la playa. No llegué a probar el restaurante.
