"Great place on the Cornwall/Devon border, equidistant from the stuff you can do in the Southwest. The food they serve is great, as is the staff I interacted with. An EV charger in the same parking area is very helpful, as well. I was surprised that my single room didn't have a TV. The water pressure and heat when trying to shower were never consistent (but usually okay). While not a comment about this hotel, know that this area doesn't have much for stuff to do. "On arrival we were upgraded twice to a lovely ground floor room with patio doors to a lovely view. Bed was comfy, bar atmospheric and food good. We would definitely stay again"

"The position of the hotel with amazing sea views and beautiful surrounding scenery was very special. Inside the hotel inside was beautiful in an old fashion way but in character for the age of the hotel. The only thing that was a bit strange was the shower and toilet cubicle in the bedroom but again when the hotel was built there would not have been on suite bathrooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made you feel very welcome. We had a lovely afternoon tea in the most beautiful surroundings with fantastic views."
