This is an adorable, clean, and well appointed cottage with an amazing view and location on the water. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The host was great to deal with. We would absolutely stay again, and hope to.

Relaxation

Even with rain the entire trip, we had a great time hanging out enjoying the views! Very clean, beautiful view, lots of room for everyone to relax and enjoy our time.

Family Mini Vacation

From booking to check out Matt was great! Property was clean and felt like home. The water view was beautiful and just sitting out and enjoying the water from the deck, the kids were in the water our entire stay or fishing off the pier. We definitely will be booking again!

Peaceful stay

The water views, sunrises, and many local birds, including a nearby osprey nest, were all spectacular. The whole back of the house is a bank of windows (living room and master bedroom). It feels private as your view is just your outdoor lounge area, dock, and the water. No big downsides (minorly need space for tooth brushes as the sinks are mostly the sink bowls). Everything was clean,and comfortable. In similar off the beaten path vrbo's we've had lower cleanliness or ants, but not here! The location was good for day trips within a 30-90 minute drive.

A relaxing getaway

We were in town dealing with a very stressful family matter, so returning to this peaceful, quiet property every evening was just what we needed to decompress. Gorgeous water views, TVs in every room, a nice kitchen, and washer/dryer - what more could you ask for? Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Peaceful setting

Stayed for a long weekend and enjoyed the peaceful setting. Watching bald eagles from the deck was a highlight. Clean, well maintained property and Matthew was very easy to work with.

Great Stay, Even in terrible weather

Our Family decided to take a last minute Spring Break trip and had a fantastic time. Matt was a great host and easy to communicate with. We were pleasantly surprised by all of the local dining options. Despite terrible weather that we experienced, we made the best of our trip and had a great time.

Beautiful and Relaxing

The house and views are beautiful! Both inside furniture and outside furniture was extremely comfortable and was able to relax the minute we walked in the door. Not good cell service, but that is part of what makes the vacation so relaxing.

Peaceful Getaway

We stayed at the Waldin's Chesapeake while our son attended camp. This home was so clean, and well equipped with everything! Matt was very quick to answer our questions. We ate at some of the places that Matt recommended, and we were so impressed! We will definitely be back in the future.

Enjoyable Chesapeake Stay

Cute, up-to-date house, peaceful location, beautiful views. Well supplied kitchen, including sharp knives! Excellent communication with owner – prompt and helpful. Fast internet. Could use more bathroom surface areas; a few more hooks to hang clothes and towels; and an additional umbrella or two outside for shade. My mom, sister, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Slice of Heaven

Our stay was so peaceful and relaxing. The views were spectacular and the beauty of nature surrounds you. The area is rich in history and has so much to offer. The neighbors were super friendly and the owners are just a text or phone call away if you need them. The house was everything we hoped for and more. Our family needed this vacation to recharge our batteries and this was the perfect spot.

Great Getaway

We loved our stay at Matt’s home. Very comfortable with everything you could ask for! Quiet, relaxing and close enough to towns if you want to go explore. We went to a few of the restaurants that Matt suggested and they did not disappoint. We are already talking about the next time we can get back there. Pictures don't do this place justice

This was a sisters week. We went to spend a little time together. The three bedrooms allowed each of us privacy when needed. Comfortable beds. The main bedroom has incredible views.I'm not a bird watcher, but with the binoculars in the drawer (4-5 pair) I enjoyed watching the birds: teal ducks, cranes, and many other birds that I don't know.The kitchen has beautiful dishes, pots and pans, and knives so no need to eat out unless you want.The three things are insufficient light, the hot water takes a whole to come on, and it's barely wheelchair/walker accessible. The wooden walk into the house is barely wide enough and slippery in rain. It also has two right angles to navigate. In the main section, my sister in the walker could get around but the doorways are not wide enough for a walker.

Family Wedding Weekend

Rented this home for a wedding we were attending. Nice location on the water. Only downside is one shower so for a group of 8 it was a bit inconvenient. I knew this going in, just should have thought this through with 4 ladies in the group! Owner was great! Very responsive.

A relaxing New Years Eve getaway

We absolutely loved Matt’s place - the location is perfect (scenic and relaxing, but close to restaurants and shopping in Havre de Grace) and the house had everything we needed. We had a wonderful time cooking and watching Netflix, and since the weather was unusually mild, we were able to spend lots of time on the back porch with our dogs, enjoying the amazing view. We hope we can return in the future - it was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of DC! Thank you for being a great host, Matt!

We chose this property for out of town family members to join a memorial service. It was ideal. The 3 bedrooms accomadated all of my siblings and after the service my sisters children came over. The house was loved by all. The location is ideal for a quiet comfortable setting. The neighbors are friendly and respectful to your privacy. The house was immaculate and included everything we needed. Our next stay will definitely be there.

Wonderful Cottage with a 5-Star View

This home was a true gem for an empty-nest couple (and dog) taking an autumn getaway in the "top of the Chesapeake" region. The sunrises from the deck or front windows are even better than the listing photo suggests! It's everything the other positive reviews highlight -- clean, comfortable, good communication, easy check-in. A very walkable (and friendly) little neighborhood and an easy drive to restaurants and shops in North East or Havre de Grace, Perryville Park, and Elk Neck State Park. Highly recommended.

What Hurricane? This place is great!

This place is absolutely beautiful, both the house and the scenery. We had the unfortunate timing of being there during a hurricane, but it didn't matter. The house was spotless upon arrival, everything was very comfortable and fully stocked to anyone's needs. We were only 2 adults and 1 child but this house could fit many more easily. The surrounding area has some nice restaurants. The nice days we did have we spent catching loads and loads of fish and crabs from the dock. The neighbors were super kind, one even helped filet our catch so we could have it for dinner that night! We'll definitely be regulars here for the comfort, scenery, and relaxation.

Very nice

House was very attractive, clean, comfortable and well decorated. Great views of the bay. Nice fireplace and lots of wood on a cold night. The entry driveway wasn't easy to locate and could definitely be marked better. A/V equipment had limited options and no instructions.

Great location with beautiful water views.

This waterfront home is in the perfect location. The morning sunrises are absolutely gorgeous. The home is adorable and very comfortable. We loved relaxing on the waterfront deck. But the best part was that we could bring our dog. We were able to find dog friendly restaurants/ patios nearby and the Upper Bay Museum is also dog friendly. From this location we spent time in North East, Havre de Grace and Elk Neck SP. We have stayed in this area many times in the past but this place is our new favorite! Thank you Matt!

Beautiful property and view

Perfect spot to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Beautiful scenery and very peaceful. Breathtaking sunrises and we were fortunate enough to catch the full moon each evening. Lots of geese and duck calls and even saw two Great Blue Herons on our last night! Evenings spent in front of a warm fire were very relaxing. We wish we could have stayed longer! Owner very communicative. Meal recommendations were superb. The broiled seafood platter and oysters on the half shell at the Wellwood were amazing. It was a wonderful experience for us both. We'll definitely be going back.

The Perfect Getaway

We could not have been happier with this house and location. The views are stunning. The location was so quiet and peaceful in February. All we heard was birds and water lapping. We spent a day walking HdG and North East. Sadly it was off season so a lot of stores were closed. We had a small dog with us, and at MacGregor’s Pub we were able to bring her inside their enclosed porch for a nice lunch. The house itself was spotless and clean and very nicely appointed. We loved our stay and plan to visit again during warmer months, to take more advantage of the water and outdoors.
