"Great hotel in a good location. Room was lovely with good views. Lost a star on our rating as our welcome gift of wine and charcuterie wasn't received and the gent at reception who checked us in wasn't helpful at all too busy chatting and whilst acknowledging we were owed it just kept pushing us to ask others - in the end we had to add the wine to our room. The lady at checkout was very apologetic and restored our faith a little in the staff as she refunded the glasses of wine. Such a shame as the rest of our experience was good. Only other comment would be about the pillows - firm far too firm and soft far too soft!"

"The deluxe 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and comfortable despite being dated. The three air cons were appreciated. The washing machine and dryer in a separate laundry room was great, however, there was no laundry detergent or clothes rack which would have been useful. Also, a kitchen dish drainer would have been a good addition. Proximity to the free CAT and other buses was very convenient. As was the Queens Garden and the Foodies IGA at Langley Park for groceries and ready made meals. Location feels safe despite some regular homeless people (with mental illness) wandering about outside. It’s fairly quiet although the weekend tended to attract a few idiotic hoons on Hay St and inconsiderate loud talkers or an unstable person yelling outside very late at night. Tips. 1. We encountered three different parties of guests during our stay who had difficulty with checking in after hours due to inconsistent or unreliable instructions - so please contact the ‘virtual reception’ a few days beforehand for the procedure otherwise you could be left stranded outside as it appears that the after hours emergency contact was not readily available for these unfortunate visitors. 2. The friendly manager runs the convenience store next door, so if you require extra consumables (toilet paper, tea, coffee, sugar), you can try asking him before the store closes at 5pm."
