"The view of mountains id stunning, as is the aroma of fresh air and the enchanting songbirds. We had a great time in the small but adequate swimming pool. It is easy to miss the turn onto Laurence Lane, so it would be good if a sign were to be installed there."

The Palmer House Resort, an Ascend Collection Hotel
8/10 Good
"Stayed in a suite for 2 nights on a visit to see the leaves change. Overall, there were no major complaints. The property appears antique but well maintained. The suite we stayed in looked freshly renovated and was very clean and well put together. The staff were friendly and helpful. I heard that the normal rooms and rest of the property as a whole are undergoing further maintenance and renovations, so I’m excited to see it again this time next year. It’s seated right in Manchester, so everything you need to get to is within a 10 min drive, extremely convenient.
4/5 overall, would stay again."
"The on-site manager, Ashley is an amazing host and human. She personally keeps the property spotless and stocked and still takes the time to get to know guests. She is also fiercely dog friendly.
It was a super pleasant surprise to find a fenced in dog run in the back yard.
The off site customer service text center was super flaky and did not provide the correct code for check in. Ashley solved that issue and also kept the snack room, spotless and well stocked.
Just know that once you arrive, you will be taking care of on site by Ashley.
Loved the fire pit and the wonderful Halloween decorations on the lawn. It is a very private beautiful setting. The motel is charmingly retro and recently renovated for guests comfort.
We will absolutely be back. Again thank you Ashley and River so enjoyed his present."
"It's a great place to stay! I've been there several times in different seasons. Off-season or leaf peeper season the free breakfast is a lot less than the free breakfast during ski season. During ski season AKA winter, eggs, waffles, pancakes etc however during other seasons they only offer cold cereal, milk bagels toast and juice and coffee of course. Other than that it's a fantastic place and they're dog friendly"
"This was the first time I've ever stayed in a hotel where you arrive and go straight to your room without having to check in at a front desk first. The instructions via email or text (whichever it was) for how to do so were clear and we had no problems getting into our room. The location was convenient and the property itself was very nice."
"The motel looked a little old, tired, but the room was very clean and spacious, moderately priced, and very close to town. The staff was busy but helped immediately."
"We loved this property, our view opened up to magnificent Mountain View, if you are there during lead peeping season you know that makes a difference.
We enjoyed the hot tub at night and the fireplace .
Kind staff, they left cookies and bowls for our dog, breakfast was delicious, the variety of baked goods was perfect and the Vermont coffee provided brought up to a higher level
I can’t wait to go back for a longer stay"
