"We had a great time in Abruzzo staying at this property. The property has ample space, is very quiet and a great price. It has great views of the valley and is near Sulmona and just an hour from the beaches in Pescara. There is plenty of space and plenty of beds. Having three bathrooms was great. Mark was very helpful and easy to communicate with leading up to the stay and during the stay. If you want to stay in a roomy place to experience a real Italian village this is it. "We enjoyed spending a week here. The place was charming and definitely tucked away down a quiet street surrounded by mountains. Our host Maria was easy to contact. We only met her once as she was mostly out of town when we were there but she was gracious enough to let us see the 4 alpacas up close and feed them. "The location of the property to restaurants was great. However, the property is tucked away on a side street. If arriving after 7 pm, guests should be told not to drive past the Pizzeria on the right since house numbers are difficult to see in the dark."

"Lovely home, however, there were some issues. Almost every dish we pulled out was dirty and unfortunately we kept having to deal with ants by the front door area, where the garbage/recycling bins were. Communication with the host was ok. I didn't get responses to questions asked prior to arriving, which is bad form. "

"very nice vertical house in center of old town. great location near restaurants and coffee shops. very clean. easy access and departure. not a property for people who struggle with stairs. hot water in showers is a little tricky. shower in one of the bathrooms needs a door, and washing machine could use some written instructions. overall, we enjoyed it, and recommend it with the few caveats already mentioned."

The home itself is decorated beautifully and elegantly and the garden and surrounding grounds are so magical. But the very best part of our stay was the host family/caretakers, Antoinetta & Mario who took such incredible care of us, we've never felt so welcome at any vacation or holiday rental.
