"The staff is very kind, each and every one of them. Maybe not too swift in replying the emails, that has to be improved, for sure. The structure is in a great spot, 5 minutes walking to many restaurants and to the beachfront, however it is pretty quiet given the fact that it is located in a secondary alley. "I would give a rating of the 4.8 out of 5. There were some hiccups at reservations but the SunLife manager was excellent and stepped in to fix everything. The setting with the palm trees and beach was superb, the breakfast buffet and Mauritian dinner buffet were excellent and the best thing was the warmth, hospitality and thoughtfulness of the staff. The only drawback was the stray dogs on the property. "

"Great hotel in the heart of Port Louis. Rooms are large and well-equipped. The staff are extremely helpful, relaxed and professional, they make you feel welcome for sure. The hotel restaurants are good and in the immediate area around the hotel there are lots of cafes and restaurants. Highly recommended!"

"This property epitomises luxury. It’s all in the detail. Flavoured water on the beach, ice buckets filled with drink whilst sunbathing, gourmet food and ice cream. The staff give you that boutique feel and the honey made on site is a lovely touch. We moved onto another property at a different part of the island and if it wasn’t fully booked we would head straight back to the lux*. It’s another level "

"Wonderful beachfront resort with excellent staff and amenities. We just returned from a 4 day stay and the only downside was that the trip was not longer. Large spacious rooms, lovely well kept grounds, super friendly and helpful staff, great selection of restaurants and food and daily activity programs.
