Maison de Charme au Calme Gorges Verdon

Very beautiful stone house renovated with quality materials and equipment. Exceptional terrace, quiet, not overlooked, sunny with barbecue, pizza oven, garden furniture and outdoor table. Our house is located in the hamlet of LA BATIE, dependant on the village of Peyroules, and only 10 minutes from Castellane, starting point of the Verdon gorges with many tourist and sports activities (rafting, canyoning, cycling, hiking...). Ideal couple with children

Layout of the accommodation:
Ground floor: Kitchen with fully covered and enclosed veranda offering an exceptional view / adjoining dining room + living room with sofa bed with real mattress.
FLOOR +1: Master suite with Queen size bed (160x200) with bathroom (including WC) +Mezzanine with Queen size bed overlooking the living room
FLOOR -1: small veranda with access to the terrace, laundry room (washing machine / dryer), Bathroom (including WC)
OUTDOOR TERRACE: garden furniture with 2 armchairs + a very comfortable bench + 1 sun lounger + 8-seater outdoor table, small summer kitchen with sink, barbecue and pizza oven.
Traveller access
Private shaded outdoor parking for one car on the ground floor. Possibility + to park 2 minutes walk away in the village car park.
Other remarks
Given the layout of the Bathrooms upstairs, our accommodation is unfortunately not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

The house is not equipped with air conditioning because being all stone it is very well insulated and remains very cool in summer. An unheated outdoor swimming pool will be at your disposal from around May (depending on the weather).

To know for your stay in our little corner of paradise:
--> Winter: Snow tyres or other equipment are mandatory between 1 November and the end of March.

--> Courses: Our house is located equidistant between Castellane and the Logis du Pins:
- The Castellane market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday, very complete and appreciated, you will find everything.
- Fruits and vegetables from the Logis du Pin: Small supermarket where you can find fruit and vegetables, fresh products and regional specialities.
- The only supermarket nearby is located in Castellane.
- The goats of Fontanil 2 minutes away by car or 20 minutes on foot: If you like good goat cheese, we advise you to visit Mikael. An enthusiast who walks his goats every day in the middle of nature and this is reflected in his cheeses made with love every evening!

--> Activities:
The place is conducive to relaxation, however you can enjoy many activities nearby:

- Many walks and hikes in the surrounding area for all levels.

- Numerous climbing sites.

- Splendid Taulane Golf Course 15 minutes away by car, open from April 14 to October 22 for golf lovers or those who wish to eat while enjoying the terrace of the "Trattoria de Mario" in an enchanting and soothing setting.

- Lake Castillon 20 minutes by car: in this lake of about 1500ha surrounded by the magnificent landscapes of the Verdon gorges, with its steep cliffs and turquoise waters, you can enjoy the many water activities or enjoy a swim, or a canoe trip that we can lend you. The shores of the lake offer equipped beaches where you can relax and enjoy the sun.

- Monts d'Azur Reserve 25 minutes away by car: Enjoy a return to the wilderness and observe among other things the European bison and Przewalski's horses on foot, or during a horse-drawn carriage safari. Open every day during the school holidays and from Wednesday to Sunday all year round. Don't forget to book!

- Lake Sainte-Croix 1h30 by car: in this superb expanse of blue water of 2200ha surrounded by hills, you can enjoy a swim in its turquoise waters, or go sailing, boating, pedal boating and thus go up to the entrance of the Verdon gorges.

- Lovers of horseback riding will also be delighted!
