Your own vehicle is necessary for getting to the property and for exploring Philipsburg. There are no taxis or driving services available in the area. It is highly recommended that you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle in the winter months, Montana weather is unpredictable and the roads can become icy or covered in snow. The road to the cabin is regularly plowed.
Bathroom Layout: The cabin has one bathroom located between the two main-floor bedrooms in a Jack-and-Jill-style configuration. There are two toilets, each located in its own private space with a door. The shared bathroom area includes two showers and two sinks. Please review the listing photos for additional details about the layout.
Loft Access: The loft sleeping area is located above the main floor and is accessed by stairs. There is no alternative step-free access to the loft. Please review the listing photos for additional details about the layout and stairway.
Creek & Outdoor Area: Fred Burr Creek runs directly through the property. The creek and surrounding outdoor areas are not fenced or separated from the cabin by a barrier. Please review the listing photos and property features when determining whether the property meets your needs.
Updates: The owners are currently adding a small deck to the cabin as part of ongoing improvements to GG's Cabin. Please pardon any dust or signs of work during your stay as we continue adding amenities and enhancing the property.
Winter Access: During winter months, 4WD/AWD is highly recommended when snow is present. Snow tires and/or chains are also recommended depending on road and weather conditions. The road to the cabin is regularly plowed, but Montana weather can be unpredictable, and we want you to be able to come and go as you please.
Wildlife & Rural Setting: This cabin is located in a rural, wooded area near Rock Creek, where insects, mice, and other wildlife are a natural part of the environment. The property is professionally treated for pests, and additional sealing and preventative work is being completed to help keep the cabin as pest-free as possible. Because these measures can take time to be fully effective—and because of the cabin's natural setting—guests may occasionally encounter insects or signs of a mouse, particularly during seasonal changes. We appreciate your understanding that while we take pest prevention seriously, it is not possible to completely eliminate encounters with nature in a rural Montana cabin.
Shared Property: There is a second cabin on the property where the owners reside. Guests have private use of the rental cabin, but the overall property is shared with the owners.
Security Cameras: Exterior security cameras are present on the property for security purposes. There are no cameras inside the cabin.
Amenities: The cabin has air conditioning and an Xbox gaming console for guest use.
