Nestled in the quintessential fishing village "The Nest" is a comfortable and inviting property. Directly attached/shared wall (The shared wall has locked door and 2 shudder windows that are open when the unit is not rented but closed for privacy during rentals) - to the East Village Art Gallery and just a minutes walk to a Cat Cove, a great swimming hole, the location is convenient to area amenities. The Gallery has usage throughout the day, mostly on the second floor from 10AM-3PM.

Great neighborhood, sweet space

When I first saw this listing, there was only one review & it wasn't great. Fortunately I realize that people have different standards & paid little attention to it. This space is so lovely &, though not much separates the room from the studio/gallery space attached, the owners are quite respectful of privacy & were very helpful when we were too techno-challenged to open the door initially. The front porch is a tranquil place to sit & look out over the cove & the neighborhood was quiet enough that this rural girl could sleep well at night. We will definitely go back!

This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed. It’s one thing to feel vulnerable due to a connected wall separating the room by folding doors and shutters but no blinds or curtains on some of the windows and no lock one at least one window. The room was very dusty and smelled of mold. My husband became physically sick after we closed the windows during the night ( temperature outside required it- 55 ). Also, the owner didn’t respond to a question I had the day before about cable TV. Instead he left a TV in the room, not connected and no remote, leaving us to try to figure something out on our own. This lovely location deserves so much more TLC. We will be going back.

Gets 2 stars Just for a good bed & quiet neighborhood

It literally felt like I was invading someone’s room. There was a dirty paint bucket in the kitchen sink, a garbage bag with a lantern in it on the bed with other things that didn’t belong on it, then someone’s shoes in the middle of the room when I walked in. Oh and the so called wall in between the gallery and your private space? They’re SHUTTERS! You can slide a phone between the door cracks to record!!!!! The floor was filthy! There was sawdust all over the rug and near the bed. Then when I wanted to take a shower before bed there were only dirty, used towels hanging on the back of the door and a used Facecloth by the sink. There was nicely a new toothbrush.The bed was cozy.In the morning the coffee pods were fine but the sugar was old and clumped. I’ve never taken the time to go into this much detail to forewarn someone before booking but their listing isn’t transparent so someone should be!

Needs attention

A bit dusty, furniture falling apart, no dresser to put things away for a multiple day stay, no way to get the television functioning with anything other than Apple TV, and absolutely the worst at communicating with us from the very start. I had to ask over and over for instructions to get in, where the key was, WiFi password, etc. We have no reason to go back.
