Our Casita was originally a mechanic shop, built in 1930 in the heart FQ Story District. Renovated in 2020, blending historic, industrial & modern features into a unique guest experience.
The Casita is a 924 sq. ft, 2 bedroom, 1 bath with a fenced private entrance & yard. The kitchen features a microwave, coffee pot, hot plate, & toaster oven with charcoal grill outside. High speed internet & workspace. Under 2 miles from Downtown sports venues, entertainment, & a wide range of dining options.

We needed a place to stay for two Christmas events that were in town and found Jason’s place to fit the description of what we were looking for. The place was very clean, check in was smooth, the area was private and close to the events we attended. Communication with Jason was easy and he responded immediately which made everything easier.

We were in town for a business event, but stayed a few extra days. The location was ideal. Accommodations were clean, and we had everything we needed for a nice peaceful weekend. The AC worked beautifully And it was over 100° every day we were there!

Perfect getaway.

Great rental very close to downtown. Very clean and perfect for two couples or a small family. Brought our 100lb newfypoo who was very happy to sleep on the cool concrete floors. Stayed during the World Series and Halloween and it was a perfect spot in a very cute neighborhood.

This little gem could not have been any better! It is exactly as listed; pictured exactly as shown. We stayed for a week with our fur babies. They loved walking the neighborhood every night and the fenced in yard was a bonus! Everything you could want or need is in the Casita. Communication was quickly responded to; the place was clean and quiet. If we are back in the Phoenix area, we would definitely stay here again.

Modern and Convenient Stay

The property is a converted unit on the owner’s property. It’s accurately described, very clean, and well stocked. There is a Keurig coffee machine but no pods were made available. The bed is on the firmer side but we prefer it like that. I had to reach out to the owner’s for check in information but they were very responsive. The is was a nice stay in a nice location.

Lovely 2 bedroom Casita

This VRBO is located in a Historic area in Phoenix. The neighborhood is quiet, walkable, easy to park, safe, and convenient to downtown, Chase Field, shops, restaurants, etc. It has two large bedrooms, the beds are very comfortable, and the amenities meet our needs. Hosts are easy to work with and available if needed. Would book this again!

My wife now wants to buy a house like that so safe to say we had a great time. Big yard for the pup and it was easy to check in. Only two things was getting the casita The cars pretty much take the whole entrance so we had to be really careful not to hit their cars with our luggage and at night it was kinda hot. Beds comfortable. Shower was great. Everything very clean and it was very cozy. Having the wifi password available would be good so didnt need to bother owner. Also I was confused the property was behind the main house. More lighting would be good since we came in at night. The neighborhood felt safe and was quiet. Could hear the highway.

Beautiful little spot

I’m still amazed at how private this place felt despite being on the homeowner’s property! Beautiful living room and bedrooms. The stay went by way too fast. We came for a birthday and anniversary staycation in Phoenix with our dog and had a couple friends over for dinner one of the nights. Grateful this place was available and hope to be back again soon. The only things that weren’t communicated - it should be in the security description that there is a camera by the entrance to the rental space (glad it was, but hadn’t seen it listed in the ad), and clarified whether the camera on top of the owner’s house facing their backyard has the yard/entrance of the rental space in view. It did take away a bit of the feeling of seclusion, wondering if we were being watched. 10/10 recommend, and hope we stay again!!

Perfect for Small Groups

We (four of us) were in town for a concert at Chase Field and found Jason’s rental to be a perfect base for the weekend. This was my first time renting something other than a “private home” (meaning, the only dwelling on the property), but we definitely felt the privacy between the rental and the owner’s residence just steps away. I’ve read other reviews here and find it a little silly that so many renters were shocked that this was a back house (that’s what a casita is!). But I will agree that I was expecting a front door and not a slider as the main entry, so I felt dumb when I realized THAT’S the way to get in! :) The unit was adorable, clean and very accommodating, and it had everything we needed to feel comfortable. Jason was very responsive, even when I texted him for the WiFi at 10pm when we checked in (again, sorry for the late text, but perhaps you might consider including the password in your check-in information?) The neighborhood was clean and felt very safe, as did the casita. Very close to downtown, as advertised, which was exactly what I was looking for. On top of that, the price was incredibly reasonable for a random weekend in November. But, I would recommend Jason’s casita conditionally with the following feedback from our party: Our biggest qualm with the rental was the walkway and lighting along it, which Jason assured me is in the process of being remedied. To enter, you must walk along the edge of a single driveway with a very narrow path to the casita,

Modern HiStory

We had the best stay! The 3 of us were looking for a place near downtown for a show I was vending at the convention center w/ a few things we thought might be tough to meet all our needs. We needed a secure space that beyond our sleeping accommodations would have space where I could create additional product a still have room for meals & relaxation after the show. We also needed parking for a rental cargo van and a rental car. When I say Jason's Casita more than met our every need I do not exaggerate. The site was perfectly located only a few miles from our destination in an adorable historic quarter of downtown Phoenix w/well maintained homes & lawns which made us feel safe w/the ample street parking the area provided. The casita sits gated behind the main house at the back of a long driveway that is utilized by the home owners obscuring it from street view. The backyard is divided generously between the house & the casita by a tall wooden fence which added to our privacy. It's interior modern, simple, super clean, and beautifully appointed w/midcentury modern furnishings and some retro pop culture details throughout that we so enjoyed. The beds cozy, a cute updated bathroom, and the kitchen well stocked w/most anything you would need for making & serving your own meals. All of that was wonderful, but our hosts really made our time special providing great communication, comfort, lovely interactions, & a neighborhood history lesson during our stay with them.
