Movenpick hotel and resort in Phu- Quoc is one of the most beautiful and enjoyable resorts that I stayed in. It has very unique and nice architecture, huge swimming pool, private beach with a lot of palm trees for shade, excellent breakfast and very friendly service. In contrast to the highly polluted Ho Chi Minh, the air is clean and skies are blue. I will definitely visit again!

We stayed at this lovely resort for 8 days and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The resort features beautiful swimming pools and a pristine sandy beach. With three restaurants on-site, breakfast was pleasant, and the staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. The only downside for us was the lack of activities or amenities outside the resort—restaurants and shopping require a taxi. Despite this, we’re already thinking about coming back!

Nicely designed place but in need of some renovation, a big piece of plaster fell down on the kids swimming pool area, the sun loungers on the balcony have seen better times, the kids playground is small and the toys are old/ in need of repair, the first room offered to us had a mouldy ceiling, the next room had a connection door to the adjacent hotel room with barely any sound isolation, staff is friendly, food tastes really good and the breakfast is amazing

Excellent facilities at the resort, swimming pools are great, the beach is beautiful. Our suite was pretty nice. Two restaurants at the resort, food was limited and also gave our whole family food poisoning.

I love my vacation here at Movenpick. The room was spectacular and very good service. Great morning breakfast buffet. Very beautiful view of the pool and the beach. Only downside is poor draining system, every time I shower the water would flood the bathroom and I have to wait for it to slowly drain.

A nice place

We had some lovely days at Mövenpick. It’s a great resort with a nice pool at the beach. The food is very good, but a bit more expensive than out at the restaurant nearby. We needed assistance two times from the reception and both times we were told to wait at the room for 10 minutes. But both of the times we waited more than 30 minutes and nobody came. We got a bit confused at the reception. They were kind and understanding. The next day we had some fruit and a kind message at the room as an excuse. We highly recommend this place for others

Worth a stay, but not really 5-star.

Nice resort with all you need for a calm visit. Food is good, not great. Beach and pool are both super nice, but all the screaming kids take away from the luxury feeling. Also, there are not even close to enough beach chairs which means people try to grab them at 8.00 by putting their towels there and not showing up until 3-4 hours later. Could be easily solved by adding double the amount of beach chairs. Room is very good and clean, has all you need. Bed is very comfortable. Service is good, but does not always go the extra mile that can be expected from 5-star hotels. For example, we had to argue for 30 minutes for them to bring our lost bags from the airport (that they were anyway going to). Lastly, everything is very expensive inside the resort. Food and drinks are atleast 2-3x more expensive than outside.

Excellent and very comfortable stay at Movenpick Waverly. Room is big and clean with great views of the ocean especially at sunset. Breakfast spread was superb. Beach was private and clean though the waters are not as clear and blue like Maldives or Krabi. They need to improve on their checking out process where they needed 10 mins to check the room but didn’t inform you when it was done. Had to check in with the counter staff again to complete the check out process. Mildly frustrating if you have a flight to catch with their slow process. Also my room TV was not working. Got the hotel maintenance guys in but they couldn’t fix it. Had to live without TV for that few days. Overall, it is a great hotel which I would still highly recommend to everyone.

The room is outdated, the pillows should be replaced, because the scalp oil soaked in and it’s too smelly even the pillow cases changed daily. The staff service was a hit and miss. Some are nice like Dennis, Alice, Mint, Annie and Hien at Sky lounge. But others had some attitude. The service should be more consistent.

Mini fridges barely work and when asked staff argued that they were just coolers (after 24 hours waters were barely less than room temperature, frankly unacceptable). Breakfast was good but restaurants at the resort were insultingly expensive for what you get and were clearly taking advantage of the isolation. Air conditioner could not get the room cool enough which added to the frustration. Many amenities that were supposed to be included carried extra charges like the bikes. Beach was nice but small. A place with potential that needs work. Not a 5* hotel in my opinion.

Well maintained and functional - but overall attitude of staff from reception to restaurants (except Aura staff) was unwelcoming. Additionally language barrier of English is a challenge and there is no staff to help clarify.

Could not pay me to stay at this property again. Staff- non responsive, rude and no sense of service. Property/rooms- property keeps aircon off to save money. Pillows and rooms smell of mould and sweat. You get what you pay for. However, I would not rate it 5 stars. More like a 3 star property,
