"We like the deck and dog tie out, though to cold and rainy to enjoy. All the accomidations you'd need for a stay were available. Pots, pan, dishes, towels, games, puzzles, etc. I liked the decor and furnishings. If you like it HOT! turn on the furnace. Though a bit loud, it was instant oven. Feedback: the toilet bowl discoloration caught me off guard, the shower surround needs updating. Bath bars were left behind. Kinda gross. And the soap dispenser attached to the shower wall reminded me of a Super 8. My sister stayed in the room by the back door and she commented that the bed tagged in the middle and that the windows were crafty. All together, nothing terrible, or scary. We were there for the Annual Rockin' Weekend and it suited us fine. Thank you."

"What an outstanding home base for our annual rock hounding trip! Super comfortable nicely decorated space for the 5 of us and our pup. Well-stocked kitchen was easy to cook and eat dinner in (& gather around the table to look at our rock finds) with a fantastic view of the birches, harbor, and lake! Couches and beautiful tv, books, and games for down-time. Bedrooms and porches/view off each were a great setup (hope it’s a bit warmer to take better advantage out next stay). Huge yard to wander and exercise the dog, see deer & birds …and the view- really just fantastic."

"We found Carter’s Cottage had everything we needed for our stay. It was only a few blocks from restaurants. We loved the large laundry room for removing our wet boots and clothes after spending the day stone hunting. Having two bathrooms was a bonus. "

"I’d like to say the accuracy of the listing is off. The home itself is so much more!! We had 7 adults in the house, but there was an abundance of space. Dan was amazing with communication! And my aunt, uncle, and Mom chose to stay an extra night. We took evening walks every night. It’s a great walk out to the lighthouse from the home!! "
