Toni even booked our whale watching trip at a discounted price. Lots of leaflets and information about the area provided and two excellent local restaurants (Faia and Ponta de Ilha) within a short drive. Beautiful views down to the coast from the terrace too."

"Historical Portuguese lava stone building that has been completely modernized with all amenities without losing it's traditional charm. Quiet location in close proximity to natural lava pools. Hosts were wonderful to work and communicate with. When there was an issue with the plumbing it was resolved immediately. We were able to gain an appreciation for Portuguese culture. Local store nearby. A car is essential. Restful and relaxing. Great home base when touring the island."
