Travelling on own and booked room in hostel. Did what it said on tin. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room secure and no negative vibes. I am 59 yearly old male travelling about for 4 weeks. Maybe should be spending more on hotels but would rather keep money for wine tours and trips on boats. Great value for what I paid and staff great.
A great 2 night stay. Rooms are basic with everything you need. I had no issues. Wifi was good too and the hosts are lovely! They try their best!

Convenient location for a night before catching morning ferry, but do bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper as is located on main roundabout into Picton so freight trucks braking as they head past to the ferry in the middle of the night can be disruptive.
Good price for a night stay before heading on boat.

Good value place to sleep
Facility was basically a hostel. Room was cramped for three adults. Private bathroom and shower was clean. Common kitchen. Quiet area. Good value for lodging.
As this accommodation was inexpensive we were pleasantly surprised by our nice room and the breakfast being included. We would recommend dinner at The Crow tavern.

This is the best hostel we stayed in in NZ. Wonderfully clean and comfortable, large common room with comfy couches and a friendly staff. Kitchen well stocked.

The welcoming staff was great. Nothing was a problem. Good location, however the property could do with some TLC.

A comfortable stay just for a night before catching the ferry. It is a short walk into Picton where there are eateries and bars. It was cheap and cheerful, and the gentleman on the desk was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I only made coffee in the kitchen but it looked well stocked. The room itself was a little shabby and could do with a deep clean (carpet a bit stained, cobwebs in the corners), but bedding, toilet, shower etc were all clean, and the bed was comfortable, and the room cooled down pleasantly in the evening after a warm day.
My only comment would be that my room smelled quite musty - perhaps it would benefit from a thorough airing out at some point!
