We were in the area for sisters wedding. So close to the venue and not far from restaurants and shops.
It was just the right size for our family, kids had space to get ready and still had area to relax. Great Property!
This was a perfect cabin for my family. It even had a creek.
This was a great property. It had all the essentials needed. It was in a great location and the set up was perfect. Loved going on the front porch, enjoying my coffee and watching the creek.
The cabin was in great condition, clean and close to all activities. The only downfall was the smell of water not sure the treatment process used but the smell was a bit overwhelming
My girlfriend and have stayed in a few cabins in Pigeon Forge, and this why be far our favorite. Location was excellent, and it was everything we hoped it would be. The instructions to check in were easy to follow, and the two nights we stayed there were an excellent experience. We highly recommend this property.
Family of four from Indianapolis enjoyed our 4-night stay. We’re not used to mountain roads, and it was easy to access. Loved the hot tub, fire pit, and open area for kids to play catch. The cabin is cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. We used the grill one evening for dinner. Cabin location was great for Dollywood and Smoky Mountains National park.
We loved this cabin. It was very clean, great location, hot tub was awesome. The only complaint we had was the lack of gutters meant all the rain and recent snow run off made the steps very slippery and both my husband and daughter feel down them the first 2 days we were there.
My daughters and I stayed for Winter Break and loved the cabin. It’s close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg in a little cabin community so you’re not too far in the wilderness alone. Adorable decór, very clean, and awesome hot tub. Aside from very spotty internet, which interrupted our Netflix binging, we enjoyed every minute. Will be back!
We had such a lovely time. The WiFi is definitely slow/spotty but it was enough to keep our kids happy which is all we needed. The satellite TV worked perfect in the living room and bedroom. Having a washer and dryer was nice. The whole cabin was clean and beautiful. The hot tub had a hard time keeping up in the snow but it was hot enough to enjoy on two occasions. Really couldn’t have asked for better.
We enjoyed the cabin very much well appointed. The scenery was amazing. The sounds of the woods at night was so loud but not in a bad way. It’s was nice to have two full baths and one half bath. This is a true get away so be prepared for no cell coverage and spotty Wi-Fi and cable. Maybe bring little DVD player as the cable did go down a little. We brought a pickup truck and the road was gravel and pitted pretty bad so keep that in mind if you have a low car. Over all it was great and we would love to go back and watch the trees change colors in the fall!
We enjoyed our stay at the lazy raccoon.
PRO’S
-cabin was very clean
-management company was very responsive
-some water and soda provided (nice surprise)
-many kitchen, bathroom and laundry toiletries provided.
-cozy (however a little small for 5 people)
-peaceful
CON’S
-even with WiFi calling there is a very weak signal.(not their fault but something to note)
-no dresser or closet to hang clothes in bedroom or loft area. (There is a shelf closet but cannot hang anything)
-narrow gravel road with potholes but not steep.
Overall the cabin was in great shape, decorated well and once again very clean!
The pictures online don't do this place justice! The Lazy Racoon was phenomenal. We had the best time.
The amenities (hot tub, nice kitchen appliances, full size washer/dryer, two porch swings) were the best. There were just two of us, but the place was big enough for a family with kids or couples sharing the space. We all want to be "off the grid" but the cabin was more than enough to give the comforts of home (Satellite TV, Internet).
The property is still "new" and they were installing a new outdoor firepit for the cabins. Can't wait to come back and use it.
The location was great. It was set in a small valley easy to find and close to the South end of Pigeon Forge. Easy to hit the parkway to the Natl park or Gatlinburg. A nice big green lawn in front with a nice creek that runs the edge of the property. Loved sitting on the porch hearing the creek water run, birds and nature. Can't wait to come back!
We had a wonderful time visiting Tennessee. The lazy raccoon cabin is just exactly as pictured. Adorned with raccoon furniture and decor it is a very cute and cozy place to stay! My family, my children and I planned this trip for our yearly vacation together. We are from the south, Florida and Louisiana and we met up at this cabin. Easy to find with GPS. At first it feels like you're going far up the mountain, especially because we aren't used to all these hills, but it is really only a 12 minute drive to town. If you even want to leave. We definitely took advantage of the hot tub and the kids enjoyed playing with games and big open space. We had a small fire at their pit and enjoyed a few drinks while the sun set. The beds were comfy but I definitely recommend bringing your own pillows. And toilet paper, I prefer 2-ply. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have so much to offer. We did the Pirates Dinner Show, Dollywood/Splash Country, the Hollywood Wax Museum, River Rat Tubing, and visited The Sinks, Meigs Falls, and Friendly Falls. It was a wonderful experience overall and we still didn't even touch the surface on all the things to do in and around Pigeon Forge/Sevierville. Thanks Lazy Raccoon. We created memories we will never forget, and definitely are considering another trip again soon!
This cabin was perfect for our family of 5! Spacious enough, very private and secluded, yet only 10 minutes from Pigeon Forge / 20 minutes from Gatlinburg. The cabin is in great condition and well-furnished.
Biggest challenge was having little to no cell coverage, and so-so wifi. But that encouraged us to turn off our devices and enjoy the Smokies more!
This cozy cabin nestled in the woods is close to everything, yet secluded in away from the hustle and bustle. Enjoy quiet time away, while having great shopping and dining only minutes away.
This property was so beautiful. The cabin was clean and the size was perfect for what we needed. It is set back in a quiet and serene area with a little creek that runs through. So peaceful. It made for the perfect getaway.
This place is so warm and quaint. Everything you need and so close to both pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. Would recommend this place to anyone. Only downside is there is no covering over the screen door in the living room so you are a little exposed at night but, you're plenty far away from the other cabins you don't feel watched.
Great cabin. Was perfect for our family of four (2 adults, 2 teens.). We had plenty of space. The kitchen had everything we needed. Loved having a campfire creekside at the fire pit.
Only downside here was no cell service and the wifi was a little on the slow side. But it did force us to disconnect which was nice.
We came in at night and had some trouble with the location but was a simple fix with a quick call to management. The time there was excellent! The cabin was laid out perfect for our family of 4 and we loved the satellite and Wi-Fi access. The cabin was for the most part clean other than the floors. That would be my only complaint. I would definitely recommend this property and would not hesitate to book again. Great for first time cabin experience!
