"We loved the luxury of the overwater bungalow and the excellent poolside and beach service, especially by Tapu and Pierre. Our housekeeping staff arrived regularly and kept our room immaculate.The lagoon water was pristine, especially for morning snorkeling, with tons of fish including sharks! We also enjoyed the buffet dinner and Polynesian show. We had an unforgettable week. "

"Reception staff was very helpful. They gave us a tour of the hotel while walking us to our room. Our over-the-water bungalow was absolutely stunning! Room and bathroom were very clean and all necessities were provided to us. It was a wonderful experience, but I wish it was a little less expensive so we could have afforded more than 1 night there."

"There was no breakfast but they have a refrigerator and coffee and tea pot in the room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. Air conditioning is great!"

"If you love a tropical feel this is the place for you. There are plants EVERYWHERE! We loved it! There are so many places to sit and relax and they are all so interesting. This hotel is filled with charm! Every time I went into one of the public spaces I would see something I hadn't seen before. This is way better than an over the water bungalow! You walk only steps to the water and can jump into a beautiful Lagoon. The owner is a lovely French woman who will take care of your every need and want! If she recommends something, do it! She knows the different vendors and restaurants and she is always right on! If you are looking for a slightly different, very personal place in Moorea this is it. We were here for 6 days and they were all fabulous. The staff is wonderful and will not have to lift a finger. Your bags will be taken to your room from your car or taxi and then back again at the end of your stay. Tours will be booked for you, taxies will be called, and you just need to enjoy the beautiful surroundings! The rooms were cleaned to perfection and the oils, lotions and soaps provided were absolutely wonderful! We had the most memorable time at the Fenua Mata'i'oa!"

"Loved the bungalow for peaceful stay. Housekeeping was super attentive. Pool staff were exceptional and friendly. Did not like the busy Sunday at the pools - too many young children taking over the area. Suggest an adults only pool since there are 2 on the property"

"Very nice clean and cozy property with small kitchen that we didn't use and washer/dryer. I would carry detergent sheets or tablets if you plan to do laundry. There Sunset views were incredible. The shower left there while bathroom wet as it is not well designed but it meet our needs and didn't take away from this being a great stay."
