"An amazing respite. The cottage has been beautifully updated. It was so clean, comfortable and cozy. The hosts have thought of every amenity a guest would need. The fully stocked and prepared coffee bar was such a treat. And of course for me the star was the view. Sitting in a rocker on the full length screened in porch, looking at river and feeling the breeze was exactly what I needed. I’m already looking for dates to return!"

"This property was everything we wanted and needed. The house was cozy, the beds comfortable, plenty of linens for the bath( traveling with girls) and the kitchen was wonderful…so well stocked and well thought out. The only things we needed were our own bar soap and a box of tissues (I get that). The freezer quit working but it kept ice cold enough for 24 hrs. Apparently power surges were to blame. The yard was great and the dogs spent a lot of time sniffing and checking the neighbors pups. Patty was responsive to all questions. If we do this again…it will be at the Tilted Cottage for sure."

"We enjoyed our stay and the home was clean and in a great location. One suggestion that would make it even more comfortable would be adding ceiling fans inside and on the porch, especially for airflow and comfort. We also felt the porch seating could be upgraded to more comfortable chairs or a seating area to make spending time outside more enjoyable. Overall we had a nice stay."

"Pamlico Place was a nice place to stay. It’s amazing how many little touches Phyllis has done to the place, plus free drinks in the refrigerator and snacks on the counter really was a blessing. She thinks of everything like bug spray near the back door and toothpaste and other toiletries in the bathroom in case the traveler forgot something. That’s a thoughtful and thinking host. Thank you, Phyllis."
