"Decided to take off midweek and visit Rainier from Seattle for sunrise. Booked this the day before and once I arrived, was disappointed I didn’t have more time to stay a second night. The cabin was perfect and very clean. I felt comfortable as a solo female traveler staying here, and dinner at the restaurant the evening I rolled in was perfect after a long drive. I departed early for the park in the morning so I didn’t get to check the breakfast out, but I’ll be back!"

"Clean rooms, easy and free parking, simple breakfast. Just wish they put out bacon more. They only had bacon available twice out of the 7 days we were there. Not everyone likes sausage. Or have both available. Also had scrambled eggs available twice out of those 7 days as well. Everything else was good. Staff was friendly the ones we interacted with. Glad we stayed here."

"The house is very old, so some things like the air conditioner can't be helped. We had a large blower hooked up to the window, that was noisy. If you have trouble climbing stairs, don't stay in the upper rooms...22 very narrow, steep steps. The location is great with just a short drive to the entrance of the National Park. The room was as clean, just old."

"Whittaker’s Bunkhouse was one of my favorite stays of the trip. The whole property is incredibly charming and well decorated, with a lot of history tied to Lou Whittaker and RMI. I really liked that it’s an older building with some character rather than feeling like a generic hotel. My room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and everything in the bathroom worked perfectly. Check-in was easy, and the location is excellent — right off the highway, very close to the entrance to Mount Rainier, and next to a grill with live music where I ended up eating both nights. Really beautiful property, great atmosphere, and an ideal base for exploring Rainier. I’d happily stay here again."

"I stayed 5 nights and hotel met my needs and expectations. Very quiet. The king suite was perfect. There were three chairs, a desk, a very useful larger than “mini” fridge and a microwave. I would definitely stay there again."

"Great place to stay! It is less than 10 minutes to Mt. Rainer NP entrance. Very clean and nice inside. Well stocked with everything you need - and more. Perfect with kids too. The outdoor area is also nice to have - fire pit, hot tub, deck, and picnic table all came in handy. We would definitely stay here again."
