We are located directly across the road from Pipestem State Park where you can enjoy Ziplining,hiking, Horse Back riding, and more. Back deck with hammock chairs and bonus tiny house connected to main house. Large ceilings and yard which is over 1/2 acre. This property is also very close to one of the few remaining Drive In Theaters. Winterplace is only 30 miles away. Community pool-seasonal . Pet friendly-with pet fee. Come stay in our retreat.

Host communication was incredible. His home was spotless and well appointed. Sleeping arrangements were great, beds comfortable, showers were hot as was the hot tub. The cabin is located in close proximity to a lot of hiking. When I'm in the area I'll definitely check here for availability first!!

Relaxing with friends

Super cute cabin/cottage!

This place was an adorable; comfy, cozy, great location right across from entrance to state park! Super clean, including the hot tub! Coty was responsive, although we didn’t need much, as everything was just as described.

Quick ski trip

Stayed at The Retreat for a quick ski trip with my wife and two daughters and so glad we did! The cabin was perfect for what we needed and the hot tub was incredible after a day on the slopes. The cabin was so clean and organized. Will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful cabin

This cabin is absolutely perfect! It’s decorated so cute, was extremely clean, even smelled clean. It’s the best location in the area. The owners were very responsive with communication. We would definitely recommend this cabin when you are in the area.

A quick stop on the way home

This place felt like home! We hung out on the porch with hot tub until nightfall and got to experience an amazing night of dark sky and lots of stars. Cabin had everything we needed. Thank you for the stay

Amazing Visit

The pictures do not do this location justice. The tiny cabin was a great bonus for the kids. After long days of hiking, the hot tub was very much needed! It is located in a quiet and laid back community. We loved everything about our stay and would recommend this rental to friends!

Weekend trip

The cabin was very clean and nicely decorated . Great location across from the park , lots of games and stuff to do at the cabin . The second bedroom is located in a separate building off the back deck, very cute but my kids wanted to be in the same building as us , just something to consider . Overall really nice and would go back again !

Nice property!

Very clean and nicely appointed. It would be helpful to have a small table next to the outdoor grill. The lavender fragrance in the cabin was pretty strong. Other than that, we loved our stay. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect Getaway

We were in town for a conference and opted to stay at a cabin rather than a hotel. This cabin was perfect and had everything we wanted, including a king sized bed, hot tub, large comfortable couch, and much more. The place was extremely clean and well appointed, and communication with the property manager was prompt and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to come back. Thank you!

Fun retreat

Enjoyed our stay in WV. The cabin was accessible to the park and nice eating places in town. Will come here again. The porch was relaxing and the fire pit in the back made for great evenings and S’mores. Clean and fresh. The decor was just too cute. Loved it all!

Ski Trip

The property was much nicer than even shown online. It was comfortable, clean, and had lots of nice amenities. I cannot recommend this place enough. This was genuinely the best trip of my life! We went to Winterplace to ski every day of our trip, and it was really not a bad drive at all. The hot tub was just great as well. For the price, you simply cannot beat.

Better than Expected

This place was full of wonderful surprises. The hosts have everything you can imagine tucked into this gem: hot tub, foos ball, actual coffee pods, enough pillows to build forts, and sooo much more. (And the decorations were super cute too!) We lived in the swings on the back porch and loved having easy access to local parks. It was the perfect mountain getaway.

AMAZING

This place was AMAZING. The pictures online do not do this property justice. The cabin was so nice and the cute little mini cabin (bedroom and laundry) in the back was a nice addition. The hot tub was private, and the yard was huge. Also, being right across the road from Pipestem State Park was wonderful. It is free to hike but you can do any of the amenities offered by the state park for a fee. We rode the horses, but there was so much more to do. Don't miss out on driving to the very top of the state park to see the swing and overlook, look online to see what all the park offers which is A LOT of things. It is referred to being the crown jewel of West Virginia state parks. Also, if you stay here, please take the time to go see Brush Creek Falls (waterfalls) which is only a short driving distance away.

The Retreat at Pipestem

This site was amazing. Communication with the owner was great. He even sent pictures of the property after a fresh snow fall. Nice little neighborhood to walk the dogs in and a bonus is, Pipestem national park is directly across the main road. Unit was clean and stocked with toiletries and plenty of towels. Hot tub was amazing after a day of skiing. Second bedroom is in a separate house, but connected via the back porch which is covered. We have a mid-teen, so the privacy for her as well as my wife and I was fantastic. No need to worry about heat! Both the small house and main house hold the heat well, even when all nights hit into the teens and single digits. Dog cleaning fee was extremely reasonable, considering some of the other cleaning fees that I’ve seen reach 100/dog. I highly recommend this location, and my family and I will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Everything was as advertised. Proximity to Pipe Stem State park was awesome. There were a few minor issues, but addressed those in separate correspondence. I would DEFINITELY rent again!!!
