"Having booked this hotel with very low expectations I was blown away by its facilities and 5* restaurant. The staff were fantastic, rooms exceptionally clean and restaurant was the best in the area. "Hotel is located on a hill overlooking the valley - wonderful sunrise views. Property is well maintained and rooms/bathrooms well appointed. One issue for us - we may have been placed into an accessible room - the bathroom light was tied to the door of the bathroom opening - there was no way to control the light other than the door (I asked). If you use the bathroom at night, and do not want the light to come on - you had to pull your key out of the main switch at the wall which cut all power...

"We (family of 4 + dog) have stayed here overnight every year on our way to the south and we love it! Beautiful location (garden, woods, quiet, water feature), yet Zweibrücken’s excellent shopping outlet is just 2 minutes away by car. The rooms are comfortable and our dog was allowed to join us for dinner and breakfast (as an observer). There are two restaurants, but best to reserve a table in advance as the venue is often used for weddings (being a picturesque location). Highly recommended, and we shall return next summer!"
