Private charming Mountainside Cabin near The Pisgah National Forest.

Cabin #1, known as “Bear Ridge View”, is located on 64 privately-owned acres atop Mine Mountain, which is approximately ten minutes from the entrance to the National Pisgah Forest. The cabin is modern yet rustic and contains two bedrooms (1 King & 1 Queen), 2 baths, and a modern kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. It also features generous outside decks with an outdoor eating area, wireless internet, Direct TV, a washer and dryer, and a gas grill. Guests can enjoy the solitude of the area while rocking on the covered back porch. This porch, which overlooks Pisgah Forest, features ample seating for large groups, as well as a ceiling fan and variable lighting to guarantee year-round comfort. Bear Ridge View, with its knotty-pine paneling and charming décor featuring a mix of unique antiques and newer pieces, is an ideal cabin for couples or small families.

The efficiency cabin, known as the “Moonshine Shack”, is located adjacent to this cabin and features one large main room, including a kitchenette and sleeping area, as well as one bath and a covered porch. This cabin got its name due to the fact that it was the site of a moonshine operation run by the prior owner. The Moonshine Shack can be rented for an additional fee of $50/nt plus a $35 cleaning fee to provide additional sleeping quarters for the occupants of Bear Ridge. Moonshine Shack is only available to guests that are also renting Bear Ridge. Moonshine Shack does not have wifi but does have Satellite TV.

Our cabins are professionally cleaned and provided with all linens and towels, a starter supply of soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher and laundry detergent, firewood and propane for the grill.

This secluded mountain getaway was only a short drive from Brevard. The property was spacious, clean, cozy, and fully stocked with everything we needed. I'd like to give a special shoutout to the wrap around deck: we honestly spent most of our time there. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a secluded place to stay in the Brevard/Pisgah forest area.

Wonderful Mountain Retreat

Loved staying in this cabin nestled in the trees! Loved the rustic feel, but with all the modern conveniences. Very close to downtown Brevard, the college and outdoor activities. Will recommend this place to stay!

The property was perfect for a relaxing time away. We spent a good majority of our time on the covered deck enjoying the quiet and serene environment and nature! We were close enough to grocery stores to get the essentials and close enough to enjoy downtown Brevard. We loved that the house is very well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with all the appliances and kitchen wares you would need and the beds and pillows were very comfortable for a good night’s rest. Our fur baby Annie probably had the best time. She thoroughly enjoyed viewing and trailing all the wildlife on the mountain!We had a wonderful stay and will definitely consider going back!

Wonderful stay

The home was beautifully decorated and very cozy. We really enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace and feeling secluded in the woods. We had everything we needed and had a great time!

Great remote location

We really enjoyed just being able to get away from everything and relaxing for a few days. This cabin had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch listening to the birds and reading.

Great Mountain Getaway!

We enjoyed our stay in the Mountainside cabin. The location is great. It is very close to Brevard which has many options for dining. The cabin was clean and very well equipped. We didn’t prepare meals there, but everything you need is there if you want to cook. Highly recommend this cabin.

The cabin was exactly what we expected and more. Everything we needed was there. the beds were super super comfortable. We were close to Brevard, which was nice and convenient. We loved having an awesome fire every night. And especially enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning in blankets. We do plan on coming back.

The house is great. Beds are very comfortable. The house is very well appointed. Easy access to hiking trails. Our dog is welcome, which is a plus. They supply enough firewood for a week. My only complaint is we don't want to leave.Communication with the property manager is easy. Always available to help.

Perfect weekend getaway

We have stayed at this mountain home several times and it works perfectly for us! House is well equipped with everything you need! We cook most of our meals there! The gorgeous fireplace and provided firewood make for the coziest of evenings. We just left and can’t wait to return!

Terrific home!

This home was just what we needed. Close to town but offering a peaceful respite from the everyday. Spent hours enjoying the view from the deck. Snuggled by the fire at night. Kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable. Hope to return again soon.

Mountain Getaway

This is the 6th time we have stayed at this property, and its always been great. The drive up the mountain (and down) may seem long, but its worth it! 360degree decks, peace and quite, and a beautiful space. Easy drive into Brevard or Asheville or Hendersonville, and very convenient to great hiking and waterfalls. We alternate between dining out and cooking in. Sipping some coffee on the back porch as the sun comes up is perfection. (If you like to get up early, that may just be me!)

Comfortable house, all you need to relax

This property is very clean, with lots of extras as far as quality of decor and comfort. It is located in an area that has many things to do within a short drive. At the end of the day you will relax on the beautiful deck, rain or shine. There’s a wrap-around covered porch on all sides. Would definitely recommend!

Retreat from the real world

Such a well maintained cabin off the beaten path. Clean with elegant views and the feeling of being off grid. Has its own little seperate guest house. Enjoy the real wood burning fireplace or the huge outside deck. Just a fantastic place to relax. Plus short drives to parks, waterfalls and majestic little towns like Brevard. This is a 5 star stay!

Mountain Getaway

We decided last year to rent this property for a month to get away from the Florida heat. This property was wonderful and worth our stay. We also had friends and family stay for a few days and they loved it as well. We were close to trails, tubing, breweries and plenty of restaurants. We will definitely do this again next year. Perfect mountain hideaway

Such a beautiful and quiet property, well off the beaten path. Everything we could’ve needed was provided. As a lover of nature, I was so excited about the wrap-around porch which made you feel like you were in an amazing treehouse, actually up in the canopy of the tall, beautiful trees surrounding the property. And yet still a quick drive to town. Perfect spot!

Perfect Getaway!

Beautiful property that is nestled about 3 miles up in the mountains. The property had everything thay we could have possibly needed on hand, making it very easy for us to travel light. The view is amazing, and the peace and quiet allowed us to leave behind the hustle of the day to day. This was a perfect choice if you really want to get away from it all and still have the feel of having everything you want or need at your fingertips. I look forward to coming back!

anniversary trip

This cabin is amazing. We had the best time. We hiked up in the Parkway, walked around downtown Brevard, hiked Dupont and visited some breweries. We spent evenings and mornings on the very spacious porch-listening and watching all the birds.We enjoyed the peace and quiet!!! This cabin was very clean and had everything we needed to prepare meals. It was just so relaxing.I can't say enough good things about this cabin. We had all meals and morning coffee on porch just because it was like Heaven on the porch. We will definitely be coming back to stay here!!!!
