My family and I had such a wonderful time staying at the Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge yurt! We had visited the refuge before, but being able to stay overnight and experience the sanctuary on our own was really special. The yurt was cozy, comfortable, and completely charming! The nearby amenities, including the restroom and kitchenette, were clean and easily accessible. During our stay, we enjoyed walking around the refuge and giving snacks to the goats, sheep, and cows, many of whom were very interactive. We also signed up for general volunteering and had an amazing time learning more about how the refuge operates while helping with daily tasks. It gave us an even greater appreciation for the work being done to care for these incredible animals. This was such a unique and meaningful experience, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway while supporting a wonderful cause!
