Hotel Ventura Saint-Tropez, Tapestry Collection By Hilton
2/10 Terrible
"The hotel is in a great location and the property itself is very charming. Unfortunately, my experience with the staff was extremely disappointing. After a long day of travel, I arrived hoping for a smooth check-in, but instead spent several minutes having to prove that I had previously spoken with someone at the hotel by showing them a conversation linked to their phone number. Rather than trying to help resolve the confusion, the staff were dismissive and unaccommodating.
While I understood that early check-in could not be guaranteed, there was little effort made to assist us in any way. To make matters worse, the room we were initially assigned had visible mold, which was both concerning and unacceptable.
There was also significant confusion regarding payment. I had prepaid for the room prior to arrival, yet I was told there was no record of the payment. Despite only staying two nights, there seemed to be uncertainty about charges even though I had already paid for three nights in advance.
I am not someone who typically complains, but after repeatedly trying to calmly explain the situation and seek assistance, I felt I had no choice but to be more firm in order to get any help. What should have been a simple and welcoming arrival ended up being stressful and frustrating due to the staff’s lack of professionalism and willingness to accommodate us."
"FANTASTIC - what a lovey hotel, rooms, pool, breakfast, peaceful, quality and an amazing team.
Waking distance to restaurants, but great food at the hotel also.
Will 100% stay here again if visiting Sainte Maxime!"
"The location and facilities were absolutely wonderful but the service was some of the worst I’ve seen at a luxury property. Upon arrival we were told by three different employees our room would be ready shortly on multiple occasions and that they were asking the cleaning team to “double rush” our room. Ultimately, the room was not available until 45 minutes after the official check in time. Then when we got to our room we wanted to take a shower as we had a long travel day including a red eye flight. Our room had no towels and we had to ask 3 different times for the staff to bring towels to our room. Additionally, our suitcases were not brought to our room until 2 hours after we were in the room. When our suitcases were brought down it was discovered the staff had lost one of our suitcases. They then figured out they left the suitcase in the vehicle during the valet process. Their response was “at least we did not lose it.”Not exactly 5 star service. The property had an expansion in June 2025 (stay was in May 2026) and it felt clear they still had not recovered from the increased guest activity. No chairs available at the pool or beach on day 1. The workers felt incredibly confused and overwhelmed and it was clear there was no manager on site with any authority. Each step along the way it felt as if the hotel staff did not want to go the “real” manager to explain the situation and take accountability or make it right. The price reflects luxury but the service is lackluster."
"Séjour très agréable au Le Lavandou ! L’hôtel est idéalement situé en bord de mer, avec un accès facile à la plage et à quelques minutes du centre-ville. La piscine est très bien entretenue et parfaite pour se détendre. Le personnel est vraiment aimable et accueillant, toujours prêt à aider. La chambre était un peu petite, mais confortable et bien équipée pour un court séjour. Une bonne adresse pour profiter du Lavandou dans une ambiance calme et agréable."
"I loved the location because it offers a beautiful view of the bay and is only a 10-minute walk from town. It is very easy to get in and out, which helps avoid traffic. The swimming pool is wonderful, and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, always willing to assist and provide great recommendations. The breakfast was absolutely delicious."
