"This is a lovely cottage home is a small subdivision in Empire. Neighbors homes are pretty close but everyone pleasant and cordial. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the morning for coffee. Home was new and very well kept. Lots to do in the area so the focus was not really hanging out in the house for us. Was a great July 4th weekend. Thank you for having camp chairs for our use."

"Super smooth check-in. They texted us early in the day to let us know the cabin was ready and where to find the key. When we arrived, it was easy to let ourselves in with clear instructions and the private cabin was just what we needed to rest and recharge. I was surprised the property was so close to a major road - the fencing and layout were such that it felt quiet and secluded, even with the convenient access from the road. Super easy location."

"We always travel to Michigan from Minnesota in a large group to visit extended family annually. We typically book a VRBO near the Frankfort area but also have family in Lake Ann so figured we would change it up this year. Maggie & Sam Hanes' property on Pearl Lake is perfect for those looking for large-group accomodations. The hosts promptly replied to all email communications and were reasonable in their property rules and expectations. It was awesome to have such a great view and a lot of privacy with no issues parking. The location is great for enjoying Sleeping Bear Dunes and Lake Michigan beaches. Also, the lake is beautiful but is more of a fishing lake or a lake to enjoy nature rather than a swimming lake. Be wary of swimmer's itch! Small cars may have difficulty getting down the road to the property, especially in the winter. Also, there is little to no cell phone coverage at the property, and we did not have access to wifi during our stay. "

"This place was great. The view of the lake from the private dock was beautiful. I recommend if you are looking to be in the Crystal Lake/Sleeping Bear Dunes area you stay here. Communication was great with the host."

"Our stay was pleasant at the cottage. I noticed ALL the nice touches. Very clean and cozy. We wanted to take advantage of the fire outside but it ended up raining. I do wanna let yall know there was a mouse that you might wanna catch before it’s starts squatting with its family and becomes a bigger problem lol obviously due to location it wasn’t unexpected, no worries. Im just trying to be helpful. But we’re really curious…..me and my kids had really bad dreams and a strange feeling at night while staying there is there a story behind this?"
