"I recommend Tuani Lodge for nature lovers and those looking for a cabin-in-the-jungle experience. The road to get to the lodge is very dark, poorly marked, bumpy and uneven so a vehicle with 4-wheel drive and a lot of clearance would be best. We got a small bit of damage from driving in our small SUV. That being said, once you're on the highway it is not far from town and it is a very cool experience feeling so remote and close to nature. This is not the place for you if you are scared of bugs...

"I was very happy with the choice of staying at this place. I stayed for two months and was able to cook. The beds were comfortable and the space felt large. There is a large front porch with rocking chairs that has views of the mountains. So when it rains you can still hang out on the porch. The sunset clouds are so beautiful. There is the most wonderful local family that overseas the property. The only downside is the road up to the place is really rough."

"The apartment is nice, though it does need some remodeling. Marianela, the host, was very hospitable—an excellent person. The one exception was Sunday, when the power and water went out—though that is beyond the host's control and is a city issue. However, the place is cozy; just be sure to arrive in an SUV or off-road vehicle, as you have to drive up steep trails that a standard car wouldn't be able to handle."

"It was a bad experience. The refrigerator did not work. The coffee maker had moldy coffee in it. The electric was limited so you couldn't run ac most of the time. The wires to the heated water in the shower were cut and exposed so you don't have hot water and risk electrocution. The pictures in the ad must be 10 years old because it doesn't look like that now. There was a black cat that would keep coming into the house like it thought it belonged there. The location to the beach was...
